@bryan_johnson Go to the shelter. They’ve got lots to choose from.

@danmall “No way these guys can afford me, look at their site!” The website: berkshirehathaway.com
English

You’re not bad at sales. You’re just doing the prospect’s job for them.
A student told me he didn’t send a message to a prospect because “they probably can’t afford it.”
I asked: “Did they tell you that?”
“No.”
He made the decision for them. Based on nothing. And lost a potential client he never even talked to.
This is the most common sales mistake I see in agency owners. Not bad pitches or wrong pricing. Just straight up pre-rejection.
You look at someone’s company size, their website, their LinkedIn, and you decide they won’t pay your rates. So you don’t reach out.
That’s not strategy. That’s fear wearing a strategy costume.
Your job is to make the offer. Their job is to decide.
You are not qualified to reject yourself on their behalf. Stop doing their job for them.

@noahkagan Insane how much pushback you’re getting. If you don’t think Robimhood is trash, go look at how they sell trading info from their users to hedge funds.

I CANCELED my RobinHood account today. It should be illegal.
Initially downloaded to understand why it was so popular with meme stocks and Gen Z.
A week later I had invested $25,000 on a bunch of contrarian and AI stocks.
Obviously that is all my responsibility but was surprised how easily, like using DoorDash to just invest money without thinking much about it.
Contrast that with Schwab which is actually hard to invest and not sending you notifications ever 5 minutes to invest more.
Godspeed to your RH users 🫡

@thenickpattison @zendadddy Was that confirmed? And not just technical issues?
English

@lulumeservey It needs to be framed as “yes, Billionaires need to pay their fair share, but we should do that by changing the tax rate for capital gains”
English

@claretracy61 @RhondaFurin @PelleSolana @daviddunn177 The photo is confirmed by Snopes, Vanity Fair, and Getty Images as Donald Trump with his daughter Ivanka at a 1996 Beach Boys concert at Mar-a-Lago. It's not from Epstein files. Multiple fact-checks from Reuters and AP support this. No evidence suggests otherwise.

@mbhackner @FinancialPhys Henry Potter was my great grandfather. The way he told the story was Uncle Billy placed the money in his lap. He assumed it was a Christmas gift and didn’t think much of it. 🤷♂️
English

@FinancialPhys Nobody ever explained what happened with the $8K Potter swiped from the Baileys. Tsk tsk.

I literally never run out of content anymore.
I built an automation that watches 50+ news sources, trends, viral posts, filters out the noise, scores what actually matters and turns it into ready-to-post content.
It spots trends in my niche before they hit everyone’s timeline.
No scrolling.
No guessing.
No “what should I post today?”
Saves me easily 20+ hours a month and keeps me ahead of trends.
Comment “Auto” and I’ll DM it to you.

@michael_janiak @vanschneider Those BNS Sunday Stew promos blew my mind.
English

@vanschneider I still remember the heady days when Brand New School, Stardust, Blind etc were doing the sickest motion design packages and music videos. Would watch just for those!

@dceddia Fun project! Are you sure you can't keep sanding? FWIW, we have 100+ year old white oak floors, and I tried replacing the kitchen linoleum with new wood while blending it w old floor wood. Was way more work than it was worth, bc removing the old boards was not a clean process.

Day 14, we continue! Hard pivot: today it's about hardwood floors

Day 13! We continue. These are starting to feel pretty easy! A little TOO easy...

@AdhamDannaway Nice! My concern would be this can lead to a longgg list of colors, is that not the case in practice?
English

🎨 UI design tip: Give your colours names that describe their purpose, not their appearance.
A tidy colour system starts with meaningful, predictable naming.
Here’s the structure I use to keep palettes clear and scalable:
[element · tone · emphasis · state]
Each colour gets up to four descriptors that explain how and where it should be used in the interface. This keeps designers and developers on the same page and speeds up build time.
You can go deeper and assign colour tokens to individual components, but that’s usually overkill unless you're working on a huge system.
📘 This is just 1 of 100+ guidelines from my @PracticalUI design book. I also use this naming structure in my Figma design system.

@chalaska Hot tip: try this in the OKLCH color space for even more evenly distributed tints and shades :)
English

One of the tricks I picked up from working at Google is a very simple way to make sure your interface feels on-brand:
Start with the core brand colour.
Let's say it's blue.
You create a palette of blue shades from light to dark, almost white to almost black, all with a blue tint.
The text isn't just pure white.
It's a very light blue.
The background isn't pure black.
It's a very dark blue.
Using these throughout the core elements will create an almost unnoticeable but present brand 'feeling' through the interface.
It works especially well for trading interfaces where the positive/negative colors can easily dominate, making it hard to incorporate your brand without it being jarring.
This technique works perfectly for any product and industry.

@mattragland Do you see this a lot? Keep wondering if my audience is too broad, or if this is the issue.
English

Newsletter writer: "I give so much value but nobody buys"
Me: Opens their last 10 emails
Not a single "Secret Shortcut."
Zero "Show Don't Tell."
All teaching, no story, no curiosity.
We rewrote ONE email using "Show Don't Tell."
Result: 17 replies, 3 sales, $1,700 in sales
The problem isn't your value. It's your structure.
(Recording myself doing these transformations all month. Watch for it.)
