This birthday, I want to make a real difference. By supporting a goat sharing program in Marigot, Haiti, we can help families thrive. Just one goat can provide food, income, and dignity. Every dollar counts. Please share and consider donating. Thank you! gofund.me/ba894c24e

Safe Hands For Girls
Safe Hands For Girls@SafeHands4Girls·
For us at Safe Hands For Girls, every stakeholder is needed in our campaign against #FGM. To ensure more solidarity in this important work, our team convened a dialogue with Imams in Brikama to highlight the medical complications of #FGM and dwell on how it affects the general welfares and wellbeing of girls. Our Founder @JahaENDFGM shared her experience as a survivor and the need to build synergies to ensure women and girls are protected. Mr. Mass Laye, who gathered over 30 years experience in medical practice expanded on how #FGM affects the health of women and girls especially during intimacy, menstruation and labor. It was amazing how recipient the Imams were and how much they were willing to listen as we seek to chart a way forward in protecting women and girls. The campaign continues! #EndFGM220

Dr. Abubacarr Jah, a leading voice in The Gambia, underscores a critical truth: FGM cannot be justified in any medical context. We must unite in condemning this harmful practice and advocating for its eradication. foroyaa.net/dr-abubacarr-j… #EndFGM

Again📣 📌FGM is NOT a religious practice 📌Culture does change 📌Traditions can be challenged Let’s #EndFGM
UNFPA-UNICEF JP to End Female Genital Mutilation@GPtoEndFGM

#FGM was wrongly labeled as religious. Hademine Ely's research proved it's merely harmful tradition. His work with imams in #Mauritania highlights the power of knowledge in driving change 📖💡 Tradition can be challenged for the safety of girls 💪 @unfpamauritania @UNFPA

Ending female genital mutilation (FGM) is a human rights issue. We all have a responsibility to push forward for women & girls EVERYWHERE. We join @UNGambia and our Regional Goodwill Ambassador @JahaENDFGM to call for an end to this harmful practice. It's time to #EndFGM now!
