Today, I journeyed to an obscure part of the Capitol basement to see the long-awaited plaque honoring the police officers who defended Congress and America against Trump’s insurrectionary mob on January 6, 2021. To his credit, Sen. Tillis joined Democrats in demanding it be put up, but this spot is not accessible to the public. Speaker Johnson, come on—put the plaque in its rightful place of honor.

Hello my friend, sending you my greetings despite everything… Yesterday, the school where we are taking shelter was hit by shelling and direct gunfire from occupation vehicles. The situation was truly terrifying, danger was everywhere. In the midst of all this, I did everything I could — I helped the injured and tried to ease the pain of many… but now, I have nothing left. No medical tools, no equipment, no medicines. It breaks me to see wounded people in front of me and not be able to help them. We are living under constant threat, and at any moment we could face more injuries or even a complete siege, with no emergency supplies available. We urgently need a first aid kit, basic medical equipment, and essential medicines so we can save lives. We need £450 to provide these critical supplies. Please, if you can help with any amount, you could be the reason someone survives here. The internet is very weak and the situation is dangerous, so I may not be able to respond quickly… but your support and prayers mean everything to us.
