Jacksonville Officers Fatally Shoot Armed Burglary Suspect After Multiple Home Invasions Jacksonville, Florida — On May 4, 2026, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office officers responded late at night to reports of multiple armed burglaries at townhomes on Rigel Road involving 33-year-old Brandon Laron Kaphers.
