What to build is always going to be important. How a company defines a PM will and should be critical to that. No hiding.

PM openings are at the highest levels since 2022 There are over 7,300 open PM roles at tech companies globally, and trending up. This is 75% above the low we saw in early 2023, and already up nearly 20% since the start of this year. Today we have the most open PM roles we’ve seen in 3+ years.

The common AI narrative on X is job loss and efficiency gains. The real shift is AI massively amplifying top talent and expanding their options to build their own thing or take that leverage anywhere. Just don’t assume leaving the bag comes without risk.

Fixed. 99% of those suspensions were reverted today. For about 12 hours, a new spam filter had falsely tagged subset of accounts. Spam has become the greatest risk to the platform. As AI becomes more sophisticated, we are investing heavily in upgrading our tools. In most cases, we have very high precision, but last night's bug led to temporary loss-of-access for a small percentage of users.

X Is banning 1000s of authentic accounts, for no apparent reason and refusing appeals. @elonmusk @nikitabier whats happening?

@michaelbozzello "AI doesn't just make good ideas faster. It makes bad ideas faster too." The same applies to spend. AI doesn't just make efficient workflows cheaper. It makes inefficient ones more expensive, faster. The cost layer follows the speed layer.

Random thoughts on AI adoption from my view on the ground. Trying to avoid the usual AI hype and share tangibles. - The old way of ideating is basically dead. Biggest win for Product. Build quick prototypes, get buy in, iterate, then hand Eng something very clear. Text still matters but the time saved up front is real. Not having to walk stakeholders through a doc is a fucking god send. - Agency is real. Teams outside Product and Eng should be able to spin up simple standalone sites or tools themselves. Cheer this on. - The shift isn’t just about how easy it is to build something simple now(see above). The fault lines are expanding beyond Product and Eng. More people can ship things. If something breaks the risk is usually pretty low for these small things, but it's a shift into supporting a few one-offs that will become MANY one-offs. Trade off is spending the time preventing the inevitable or learn as yougo. - Force curiousity. We now do Friday AI jam sessions where people just show how they are using AI. The best ideas have come from seeing how individuals are experimenting in their own pockets. It also is a moment to train others. Check outside your circles too, everyone is incredibly willing to share right now. That will go away/ - Don’t be fooled. When everything becomes possible working on the right thing matters even more. Don't be distracted by the glitz and glam too, focus on building the RIGHT THING! - Not every use case needs AI. Sometimes just send the damn email. - Being the best one at using AI on your team is good. Being the best one at teaching others how to use it is way better. The compounding effect is huge right now. - Be on the lookout for this. AI doesn’t just make good ideas faster. It makes bad ideas faster too.
