Congratulations to our 6th Year Maths team of; Chris Ke, Tommy Gao, Lochlann Murphy & Ollie O'Leary, who won the IMTA Dublin Region Maths Competition in Gonzaga College today. A fantastic achievement! Well done to everyone involved and to their teacher, Mr. Fleming.

@SenatorKeogan Given that there is a teacher shortage, how will making their terms and conditions less amenable turn things round? Also, training teachers generally pay the vast majority of their post-graduate fees…the situation is not analogous with the medical professions.

No teacher should be out on sabbaticals or career breaks for longer than 18 months and all new teaching graduates must work in Ireland for a minimum of 3 years.

Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. We are taking proactive steps, including increasing coordination across agencies and enhancing patrols of sensitive locations out of an abundance of caution. Additionally, I want to speak directly to Iranian New Yorkers: you are part of the fabric of this city — you are our neighbors, small business owners, students, artists, workers, and community leaders. You will be safe here.

Yesterday, I was delighted to join some of my Council colleagues to meet Rosa Roe at the Stepaside Golf Centre as we assured her of our support in maintaining the centre as a vital amenity for the whole community. I will bring my clubs next time!! ⛳️🏌🏻‍♂️

@Aily_NC And how are the ‘personal agendas’ of a wide-ranging group of councillors more personal than the agenda of one man?

@michaelclark99 They do - but that mandate is not to use personal agendas to undermine what the people of Limerick voted for. And keep in mind the Mayor has the bigger mandate.

Review the legislation a year in? This whole situation is so disrespectful to the people of Limerick who chose local government reform. It's a waste of valuable resources too. The Cllrs should be held accountable.

@Aily_NC I’ll do the Maths but the difference between the Mayor’s mandate and the mandate of the cumulaive councillor votes might not be that great. Why assume the Mayor is in the right and the councillors are in the wrong? Is the Mayor somehow more ‘Limerick’ than the councillors?
