Got any questions on energy bills especially whether to fix or not? Fixes are a smidge cheaper so is it time. That's a subject on my podcast today, so if you've a Q on it, just ask by reply and producers will select some to be read out...

@MartinSLewis I’m being offered a 2 yr fix. Surely the prices could go down in that time ?

@MartinSLewis How to make a smooth switch? Paying one company and having credit to them starting a fresh with a new company? My involuntary switch from shell to @OctopusEnergy anything but smooth for first time in many years I’m in debt

@MartinSLewis what I don't get is why prices are not falling , energy globally is cheap/normal now...

@MartinSLewis Yes there are fixes available but most, if not all cheaper rates are only available, to people who’ll pay by direct debit and not on receipt of bill. That’s a bit prejudice, blackmailing people into paying DD, making it easier for the companies to collect/take money.

@MartinSLewis I am showing as being £250 in debit, dual fuel with BG standard and have been paying £225 per month for what feels like years. How can I be sure BG arent keeping me in debit so I cant switch? Can I even switch with that amount in debit? Thanks.

@MartinSLewis I'm currently on EDF's Standard Variable and it's working quite well for me. My DD is 30% down in 12 months. They are offering a 12 month fix subject to smart meter installation. I don't want a smart meter. What do I do?

@MartinSLewis I’m currently on variable (gas & elec) with Octopus Energy - I was told by one of their advisors on a pop-up stand in a local supermarket recently to wait until July before fixing, as I am likely to get a better then rather than fixing now. Would you agree?

@MartinSLewis Next price cap change looks like it’s going down again - are fixed rates likely to go down then as well? Or bird in the hand scenario and fix now?

@MartinSLewis Have you heard about people having issues when leaving their energy supplier? I’ve just told my supplier of 3yrs that I’m switching & they’ve immediately restricted me to speaking them through bots, closed my app accnt & prevented me from updating meter readings & seeing my usage

@MartinSLewis My smart meter doesn’t connect to supplier, so I’m missing out on deals that could potentially be cheaper. Been told they use old tv signals to collect data. Surely should be a solution to this in short term.

@MartinSLewis How can you successfully challenge what is clearly an excessive bill following the reluctant installation of a smart meter? I was charged more than an annual bill for a quarter recently despite a 15 year history of much lower usage and E-on’s response is ‘have 12m to repay’!

@MartinSLewis My Standing Charge still stands at 208% of what it was 2 years ago in March, while units are still around 150%. Now 20 quid a month for no energy, while it used to be under 10. What's going on? 🤷

@MartinSLewis Some fixed rates seem to have much higher unit costs ? So does it actually work out cheaper for a lower usage household ? What’s the best place to go fix? And will they give me a smart meter 😂 as I’ve been waiting for one from BG for 4 years now 😂
