The images of Israeli hostages held in Gaza – starving, skeletal, robbed of their dignity – are a stain on our shared humanity.   The video of the emaciated hostage digging his grave brings to mind the darkest days of the holocaust.   What we are witnessing is cruelty in its rawest form.
