The images of Israeli hostages held in Gaza – starving, skeletal, robbed of their dignity – are a stain on our shared humanity.
The video of the emaciated hostage digging his grave brings to mind the darkest days of the holocaust.
What we are witnessing is cruelty in its rawest form. No cause, no ideology, no justification can excuse the deliberate suffering of innocent people.
I think of Evyatar David, Rom Braslavski, and every man, woman, and child still held captive after more than 660 days. I think of their families waiting, hoping, breaking.
The world must not look away. Their immediate and unconditional release is not a political demand – it is a moral one.
We must raise our voices until every hostage is home.
