@coffeeheadaches @kindofsquishy It is typical of gifted kids, and often adults too, that they start a project with great interest. Once they learn how to do it, & that they can, the rest is boring tasks to complete it, so –> abandoned. It's not a failure; they just learned how to do it & that was the point.

Kids who grew up "academically gifted" are now anxious adults who have thousands of abandoned hobbies and spiral into self hate whenever they make basic mistakes, or they are doctors There is no in between
