Ilhan Omar responding to Nancy Mace’s new proposal to ban foreign-born American from serving in Congress or holding other major political positions in the United States.
When asked about the bill, the Minnesota congresswoman who was born in Somalia shrugged off the move, telling Fox News Digital “Good luck to [Nancy Mace].”
The amendment would require members of Congress, federal judges, and Senate-confirmed officials to be natural-born citizens — the same standard currently applied to presidents and vice presidents.
Omar, who was born in Somalia and became a U.S. citizen in 2000, was one of the lawmakers Mace specifically pointed to when unveiling the proposal.

@YusufAsunmogejo This absolute cruelty and crime against humanity. The woman come to confess for clarity of conscience, but since there is no forgiveness in Islam, she was executed three years later.
English

Something similar to this happened during the lifetime of the Prophet (peace be upon him) when a woman from the Ghamid tribe came to confess to a capital offense (Zina) while she was pregnant.
Under Islamic law, justice is completely grounded in absolute fairness. This means that an unborn child cannot carry the burden or punishment of the mother's crime.
When she confessed, the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not execute the sentence immediately; he told her to go back home until she gave birth.
After she delivered the child and returned, he still sent her back again, telling her to nurse the infant until the child was fully weaned and eating solid food.
Only after another companion stepped up to guarantee the proper care, upbringing, and financial support of the living child was the sentence carried out.
This legal precedent established a permanent rule in Islamic jurisprudence: a pregnant or nursing mother cannot be executed until her child is born, weaned, and fully secure.
In all, this proves that the preservation and rights of innocent life will always override the immediate execution of state justice.
Allah knows best.

Can a pregnant mother be sentenced to death?🤔

Prior to the 1967 Biafra War, the then Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon, sent Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Professor Aluko, and other members of the NOC Committee to Enugu to plead with Ojukwu to embrace peace and avoid war. However, Ojukwu boasted that he had the largest Black army in the world and was prepared for war.
When the war eventually began, millions of Ibos suffered greatly, while Ojukwu later fled to Ivory Coast. After the war, Gowon pursued a policy of “No Victor, No Vanquished” and reintegrated the Ibos back into Nigeria. Awolowo, who served as Minister of Finance, also introduced the 20-pound compensation policy for many Ibo account holders who lost access to their bank savings during the war.
Ironically, ibo people still regard Ojukwu who ran away to ivory coast as hero, while those who advocated for peace and post-war reconciliation are viewed negatively.

@PeterObi But you didn't tell your brothers to stop embarrassing Nigeria, to stop doing drugs, to stop mixing fake drinks, stop packaging fake medicines, stop defrauding South Africans, stop adding Yoruba names on their passports, stop installing kings and start respecting indigens.

My final engagement in South Africa was yesterday in Johannesburg with my interaction with Nigerians in the diaspora. The discussions were frank, emotional, and deeply reflective of the realities confronting our people both at home and abroad.
The conversation was interrupted several times by passionate questions bordering on diplomacy, the treatment of Nigerians in foreign countries, the political situation back home, and the growing desire of many young Nigerians abroad to return home and contribute meaningfully to nation-building, if only the environment becomes conducive.
I also reminded our people that the respect any citizen receives abroad is often tied to how respected their nation is at home. A country that works, protects its institutions, upholds justice, and cares for its people naturally commands global respect. This is why leadership and governance must remain people-oriented, accountable, and rooted in competence and integrity.
While acknowledging the frustrations and pains many expressed, I emphasized the need for all of us to continue to conduct ourselves within the ambit of the law, irrespective of the provocation or difficulties we face. Nation-building demands discipline, civic responsibility, and the willingness to pursue change through constructive engagement.
The interaction further reinforced my belief that Nigerians across the world remain hopeful about the future of our nation despite the present challenges. Our task as leaders is to inspire that hope with sincerity, measurable action, and a commitment to building a secure, productive, and inclusive Nigeria.
A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

**No, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has never been convicted of any crime.** Court records and fact-checks show he forfeited $460k in a 1993 U.S. civil asset forfeiture tied to a drug probe, but he was never charged, indicted, or convicted criminally.
**Yes, Donald Trump was convicted** on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the 2024 New York hush money case (sentenced to unconditional discharge in 2025; conviction stands).

“The typical Igbo person will not speak your language, will not like to speak your language, will speak his or her own language to you, you must speak his own language” (on your land o)
When they come to Yoruba land and tell you it’s a culture shock for them that Yoruba people speak Yoruba or Yoruba people speaks Yoruba too much, it’s a playbook of theirs to erode your language so it’s easy for them to take over.
They exactly what they are doing.

My 2027 Gubernatorial Prediction:
The political landscape is set for an absolute sweep. Out of the 36 states, the ruling party will completely dominate, leaving just a handful of slots for the opposition:
🔴 APC: 31 States (Major sweep)
🔵 ADC: 2 Governors
🟡 Accord: 1 Governor
🟢 APGA: 1 Governor
🔴 LP: 1 Governor
The opposition will be practically squeezed out.
Facts are stubborn

“We place all the Bibles and Qurans on the table. When you come and pick one, they are treated as instruments of work and used as such.”
— Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare, responding to a request by the Headmistress of Islamic Girls’ Senior High School, Suhum, Mrs. Safia Salifu, for the Quran to be placed in a separate box, not mixed with any other books or documents and handled only by a Muslim during committee hearings.

It’s been 50 years since this photo was taken. Palestinian terrorists invaded the Lebanese Christian town of Damour and massacred 582 Christian civilians.
It was an apocalypse, said a priest who survived the massacre.
“They were coming in thousands, shouting ‘Allahu Akbar! Let us attack them for the Arabs, let us offer a holocaust to Mohammad.’
They were slaughtering everyone, men, women and children.”
Men were lined up against the walls of their homes and gunned down.
Women were tortured and gang-raped.
Babies were shot in the back of the head.
Pregnant women had their babies cut out of the womb.
Just one of the many massacres committed against Christians by Palestinians. This is how Muslims became the majority in Lebanon.

@DanielRegha What the East can jave is an inland dry port. The recently approved sea ports are state government and private owned projects. No body is stopping South East government from building a dry port if they want. Stop misinformation and bigotry Daniel Regha.
English

Anambra, Imo, and Abia can have seaports if the govt truly wants to make it happen; You don't need a natural coastline to have a seaport. Govt is reluctant to have this project in the South-East raising issues of neglect. There is no reason why the South-west should have two, and the South-South having three. Each region should have one at least, simple.

Stop selling Yoruba lands indiscriminately. That same amount can be earned through leasing & at the end of the lease your land returns to you. Once sold it is gone forever. Your children will be strangers on land their grandfather walked. God is not making more lands
