The word "hero" is used too often in today's society. It was an honor to meet @GenFlynn, a man who truly deserves to be called a hero. His talk was inspiring! As he says, "Local action equals national impact!" We, the people, must become involved in our counties and states!

Representative Chappell at least put a more concrete scenario on the table. We still oppose this path, but Missourians deserve honest discussion about what this could actually look like in practice — not just slogans about “eliminating” the income tax. That is why his scenario matters. It shows one feasible way this could play out. And that only strengthens one of our main objections to HJR 173: in the end, the people are being asked to give lawmakers permission first and trust them later on what will be taxed, at what rates, and who will really bear the burden. There are many possible tax schemes that could fit under this framework. So even if someone likes Chappell’s scenario, that does not solve the problem. It highlights it. Because once voters hand over that constitutional "permission", they do not get to come back later and say no when the legislature fills in the details.
