SUMMER DRINKING TIP: When someone says they’re not drinking/refusing the alcoholic beverage you’re offering, do not ask why. Just offer a non-alcoholic option and move on.. because whatever the reason is, it’s almost always none of your business.

There is a lot of talk about the new $100 ETF fee on Fidelity starting June 1. To clarify: It applies to some no name funds. Funds you’ve probably never heard of. Vanguard, Fidelity, Schwab, and many other well known, quality ETFs will still have a $0 fee.

@FinanceLancelot Iran believes the U.S. is "on the verge of a new round of escalation." 100% YES, that is exactly what the US is doing. The ceasefire allows us to rearm and regroup. It also allows for us to locate more IRGC commanders and newly identified targets.

@QCompounding What is this tax-free vs 25% tax compounding chart trying to replicate? At least run the taxable side at 15% to reflect reasonable capital gains vs 25% effective tax rate or short term capital gains.

Income investors! Here’s some of what fidelity is going to charge you on for simply hitting the buy button… Couldn’t be $HOOD

High yield income ETFs have nearly a half trillion $ in AUM @Fidelity now wants to charge you $100 per transaction! Not a soul in their 20’s gets into investing and says, “I’m gunna download Fidelity”. Dinosaur brokers like this that squeeze their customers deserve their inevitable downfall. I use $HOOD & M1 Finance for a reason.

@ImtiazMadmood @DeFiTracer IRAN is calling Trump's bluff by backing away from negotiations, and inviting him to restart hostilities. The US has more to lose at this point, and threatening to "blow up Iranian bridges and power plants" isn't gonna happen. The strait isn't even open, and IRAN is attacking

@Barchart Buffet Indicator is misleading at 227% (mkt cap/GDP). The vast majority of the stock market is undervalued or fairly valued. Rotation trading will yield outperformance.

Buffett Indicator (total U.S. stock market capitalization divided by U.S. GDP) is being significantly skewed by mega cap tech., even while smaller companies remain undervalued or fairly valued. After XAI IPO 50% of mkt cap will be in only 10 co.'s. Focus on rotation investing.

@TaylorSugar @askjussi REITs are likely to significantly underperform their historic rate of return in a new, higher rate environment. Plus work-remote is here to stay, and that is a secular headwind for office REITs

@askjussi Will REITS be able to outperform the SP500 if the long term interest cycle has changed directions after hitting the bottom in late 2021?

A lot of investors now view REITs as low-return income vehicles for retirees. That is backward. Over the longest time period available, REITs have actually outperformed the S&P 500 and even tech stocks. The last 5 years were rough, but that does not define the asset class. $SPY $VNQ

Iran will sign anything to get the U.S. out of the region. And once we are gone, they will start rebuilding their nuclear program. This is what has happened for 40 years, and we saw it most recently after the 12 Day War last summer.

@AmbJohnBolton @AmbJohnBolton I usually don't agree with you, but you're correct on Iran. Lived in Middle East for 10 years and followed it for 30 yrs, Iran's current regime will NEVER give up goal of obtaining a nuclear weapon.

@darrelltalksfi YieldMax funds are frightening and experiencing a rare outperformance period. Not to be trusted. Same w/ private REITS and private credit. Markdowns, illiquid investments, gating and high fees. At some point you realize they are paying you back with your own money.

Vanguard doesn't share their expense ratio, usually 0.05%/5 bhps. $100,000 is $50. They will not give Fidelity 5bhps, its all their revenue. So Fidelity charges $49.95 to buy a Vanguard fund. All-in that's still $50 upfront and 5bhps per year. Costs less than 0.10% and no fee

Fidelity largely commission-free. Can you blame them for wanting to make some money outside "riding the float" or very low sweep yields?

What's the issue with Fidelity wanting outside investment products with non-index holdings to share a portion of their expense ratio to be included on their platform? I saw one that had .96%. You mean to tell me they won't provide Fidelity with 5 bhps?
