@standardchester What a ridiculous headline! Geographically it may be 'near' Chester but its not even in the same Country and isn't going to affect many people travelling to Chester. Why doesn't the headline just say A road in Shotton!

@Jenny_1884 You do realise that most GP practices are private businesses that have a contract from the NHS to provide the service. Out of this payment they have to purchase or rent the surgery, employ admin staff, nurses, any salaried GPs etc, pay all utility bills, insurance etc etc

Who agrees that GPs should be paid per patient seen not per patient on their books? This may encourage them to free up more appointments.

⚠️ Church Lane, Great Sutton is closed due to an unsafe tree. Further work is now needed to remove the tree which is likely to be Monday.

@Go_CheshireWest It's not closed though! The signs are only on one side of the road so people are driving under the overhanging branches of the damaged tree!

@lateturn @kelvmackenzie The biggest one is that nobody is contracted to work on a Sunday despite the railways being a 7 day a week service. So they rely on drivers working overtime to cover Sunday trains. So services get cancelled if nobody volunteers to cover them.

Not sure why they couldn't just log you had paid at the ticket office. The car park was being resurfaced etc so assume you are installing a machine as sign to say there was one!
