@Section344Lions 10000000%. As a sport, baseball is conducive to hot/cold steaks. There's no predicting which arms start shoving, which teams react poorly to the time off etc etc. Look at the seeds in the WS every year. Completely random. Just get in.

The Carolina Panthers & Pittsburgh Steelers this past season made the playoffs but had no shot to do anything. The Tigers would have a very legitimate chance of making the World Series if they made the playoffs. I don’t buy for a second the notion that baseball teams have no shot. There’s very few examples of that. It’s a sport that if you get in it’s more than enough of a crap shoot to where things can happen. If this wasn’t the case the Yankees wouldn’t still be looking for their first World Series title since 2009. Baseball is different. If you get in you have a real chance.
