As CDF, we are vehemently opposed to the attempt by Mnangagwa’s party to extend his term of office. When millions of Zimbabwe voted to adopt the Constitution in 2013 they were aware of their past where one man had overstayed in power. We cannot be taken back to that era again & for that reason we are organizing ourselves to ensure that our suffering under Mnangagwa’s rule is not extended. We urge all progressive Zimbabweans, both home and abroad to contribute in any way to protect the Constitution. Mnangagwa has had his time, he must accept that and should be on his way out. The Constitution should be left intact, if they can’t we require a referendum - the instructions are clear. Ushe madzoro, Mnangagwa ngaabude!

I never thought that one day they would do nothing but attack those who are, at least, doing something. They are inadvertently supporting those who want to create a hereditary family rule in our country. The attempt to demobilise the mass is real. "I was blind, but now I see"

SAUL JUDGED, DAVID ENTHRONED.. “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to one of your neighbors—to one better than you.” 1 Samuel 15:28 Remember, after Saul was judged, David was physically enthroned! What God ordains spiritually will eventually manifest physically. Faithful is His name. Blessed Sabbath. #Godisinit~nc

To think that Hopewell is still the source of information is like to think that Chamisa still has the capacity to defeat zanu pf. In that confusion we have those who believe Biti can bring change. Keep dreaming.

In the aftermath of Constitution Defenders Forum convenor Tendai Biti's arrest for opposing the contentious current constitutional amendments to extend President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s term and change the political system, United Kingdom-based lawyer Brighton Matebuka, a pro-Nelson Chamisa commentator, says he is struggling to balance sympathy for the former Finance minister and reconcile it with his alleged support for Sengezo Tshabangu who destroyed the opposition CCC through recalls, allowing Zanu PF to have a two-thirds majority to support its 2030 Agenda. Matebuka, who often highlights Chamisa’s efforts to challenge Zanu PF while navigating internal opposition contradictions, writes: The Biti saga is a delicate one, for a delicate balance has to be struck between condemning the regime for predictably targeting & persecuting him for opposing Agenda 2030 while steadfastly seeking to hold him to account for how he behaved at the height of Tshabangu's shenanigans It did happen, it is damning, can't be erased, & enormously contributed towards ED attaining a two thirds majority which effectively sealed Agenda 2030. It's spilt milk. I don't mean to be harsh or insensitive, let alone come across that way. If it seems so, it's down to my professional training & the hand I have been dealt with. I simply have a lump on my throat. I have tried to swallow it, but it stubbornly refuses to embrace gravity. I know what I saw & can't unsee it. I know what I heard too. I also know how things now look & the potential for gas lighting. For a seasoned political veteran, it's difficult to accept that this is attributable to an innocent lapse in judgment or rank naivety. It simply went on for far loo long. I am inclined to be persuaded by the fact that the likely dominant motive was revenge, fuelled by the red mist, after feelings of being sidelined by Chamisa. At that point, it appears as if Biti was unconcerned about the gravity of the wider political consequences beyond toppling Chamisa. That means that he didn't care whether or not ED would be the ultimate beneficiary, which was reasonably foreseeable at the time. That leaves us to dissect the significance of his current contribution. In my respectful view, this is likely down to a combination of a guilty conscience, as this affords him an opportunity to "cleanse" his image, & perhaps potentially undisclosed political interests. I accept I could be wrong, but I am yet again unable to locate a more compelling & plausible account. I apologise to those that I have offended unintentionally. I had found the urge to address this too immense to ignore, so I chose to be vulnerable & let it pour out unfiltered! The state of uneasiness was simply too much! Adieu!

May someone translate this into Ndebele, Tonga and Venda. Please DM your translation Dear Honourable Members of Parliament, We agreed in 2013 that a president can only serve a maximum of two five-year terms. Let us keep it that way. If you want to amend it, let's have a REFERENDUM as required by the constitution! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hi Dr Dendere, You raise serious claims here & I think serious claims need clarity. How exactly were Tendai Biti etals involved in the Tshabangu saga? Could you please provide specific facts, so that we can resonate at the same frequency. Thanks😊
Chipo Dendere@drDendere

We cannot whitewash what happened in the Tshabangu saga and the involvement of key people like Prof Ncube, Mai Kore, and Hon Biti. However, of all the above, Hon Biti seems to be the only one speaking against Cabbage 3. So I am choosing to hope for the best. All hands on deck.
