I’m not saying “Screw Openclaw” or anything… But I am saying it’s moved so far down my AI tool rankings that it’s kind of in hobby zone now. It’s above Meta ads, so take that as you wish. It’s just too unmanageable. Too inconsistent. I need systematic uniform results in my work and Openclaw just doesn’t seem to be capable of that. Here’s what I’ve tried before all the contrarians dive bomb my comments for their moment of glory… 1. Updates its SOUL .md file with strict rules for it to follow like “don’t lie” and “verify things before you say them” and “use file naming that makes sense to English language for better organization.” 2. Created an activity feed, calendar, and search engine so that I could carefully watch over all the things it was doing, when, where, and the files it was producing. 3. Created a LEARNINGS .md file that loads immediately after SOUL .md so that it logs its mistakes and learns from them every time. Damn if this thing didn’t see that and say “challenge accepted brother!” 🤣 Look, I’m still tinkering with it. I believe in the concept. I am allowed to be both annoyed and fascinated by it. But also, like I’ve got money to make. I can’t be fooling around with settings and rules docs all day. My @mindstudioai agents they never disobey me. They can’t. It’s not in their design to be able too. They must follow my instructions every time. Sure once in a while a model or a connection has a hiccup, but it’s very rare and not the agents fault. They are testable, versionable, embedable, secure, and most importantly they produce the same output every time systematically. Openclaw is like asking a high schooler to cook you a burger. It’s going to come out at least with the qualities of a burger but it may be wildly different every time. Where as Claude, Replit, MindStudio are like Raising Canes chicken fingers and fries. Comes out the same every time, perfectly done, and predictable. I’ve got a business to run, real revenue to produce, and those are the tools I can count on. 🤷♂️ I digress. Let the hype train chug along. But I’m getting off at the next station. Claude or Manus is really all you need. Adding MindStudio and Replit puts you in warp speed mode.
