Our veterans served this country with honor. They should be able to access the reproductive health care they need — including abortion care, without political interference. No one who served our nation should be forced to surrender their bodily autonomy.

🚨SCOOP: The first lawsuit over the Trump administration’s abortion ban for veterans & their dependents in dire circumstances was just filed. A vet w/ chronic health issues + a history of pregnancy complications is currently being impacted, the suite says. More at @MSNOWNews:

Reproductive rights are under attack: Mifepristone today, IVF tomorrow, & contraception after. This isn't hypothetical. We're seeing the anti-abortion playbook unfold in real time. There's a pro-choice majority in the U.S. Using the law, our voices, & our votes–we have to win.

Abortion must remain safe, legal, and accessible. That’s why I joined every Senate Democrat in calling on the Supreme Court to preserve the right to receive mifepristone by mail. This case isn’t over–we’ll continue to fight attacks on reproductive health and freedom.

Even after engineering an unnecessary review of mifepristone and pressuring Trump to remove the head of the FDA, anti-abortion extremists are clearly struggling with the SCOTUS decision yesterday. Let’s keep this going and vote for candidates that will protect access in November.

The Supreme Court did the bare minimum here, but Justice Thomas’ dissent misuses a law written in *1873* to justify banning mifepristone. Women couldn’t vote, let alone control their own bodies. Seriously?
Kaitlan Collins@kaitlancollins

The Supreme Court allowed women to continue to access the abortion pill mifepristone through telehealth visits, maintaining status quo while officials in Louisiana continue to push for limiting availability of the drug in lower courts, @jfritze reports. cnn.com/2026/05/14/pol…

🚨BREAKING news from #SCOTUS. Today was a positive outcome. Access mifepristone is—rightfully—preserved as this case continues. But the fight is not over. Every legal attack & back-and-forth court decision causes unacceptable chaos and confusion for patients and providers.

Abortion, Every Day will have a full breakdown the Supreme Court’s mifepristone decision, what it means, and what we do now in the newsletter tomorrow. Make sure you’re subscribed (link in bio!)

Let’s take tonight to be relieved: abortion pill access stays the same for right now, and that’s amazing. But let’s not lose sight of the fact that this is conservatives’ way of kicking the can down the road, and we still have lots of work to do.

SCOTUS did the bare minimum today: stopped a radical court from banning mail-order mifepristone in every state. But 3 extremist judges came within inches of overruling 25 years of FDA science. That's the world Dobbs built—and why America's pro-choice majority must speak up.

From this lawsuit to the many other attacks moving through the courts right now, the goal remains the same: restricting reproductive freedom however they can.

Remember, SCOTUS is doing the bare minimum and this case should have never made it this far. We know anti-abortion extremists won’t stop with this case, and neither can we.

For now, access to mifepristone remains as it was before the Fifth Circuit tried to impose unnecessary in-person dispensing requirements—meaning patients can still access medication abortion by mail and through pharmacies while the case moves back through the lower courts.

Anti-abortion extremists will keep using every tool available to push care out of reach in every state. This is exactly why the midterm elections are critical. We need leaders at every level of government to stop these attacks.

Anti-abortion extremists KNOW their policies are unpopular. That’s why they are constantly co-opting language from the movements they seek to dismantle, hoping to confuse people enough that they don’t recognize how dangerous they are. youtu.be/PTKHNSdl0UI

Louisiana’s baseless case should not have gone to our nation’s highest court to begin with. It is a relief that access to mifepristone remains for now, but our work doesn’t end here. The Supreme Court must follow the law and uphold telehealth access to mifepristone.

ICYMI: “The only way for us to really stop this back and forth is to have abortion access be legal in all 50 states,” @mintimm said. “The only way we do that is through federal legislation, which makes the midterm elections even more urgent.” apnews.com/article/aborti…

8 in 10 Americans support reproductive freedom. Republicans know that. That’s why Trump is trying to have it both ways — saying “leave it to the states” in public while the anti-abortion extremists he's empowered push a backdoor national abortion ban through the courts.
