On July 7, Airbus Pléiades-1A satellite imagery shows a J-35A on the west side of the PLAAF Dingxin Test and Training Base in Gansu. As usual, the base hosts a variety of other aircraft: Flankers, J-10s, J-20s, and JH-7As. While new types are almost certainly sent to Dingxin for testing, this appears to be the first time a J-35A has been observed at the base.

Before everyone starts with their premature celebrations. The "upgrades" mentioned here are in regards to the 686 million dollar contract from December 2025. That said though I wouldn't rule out future upgrades.

The fact of the matter is PN's surface fleet is inadequate for the task at hand. LY-80 on Type 54Ps can't handle the mass saturation attacks it'll face nor does it have BMD capability. Saudis want defence? Fork over billions into PN's budget and get DDGs for them.

📍 Pakistan Navy's New Trouble Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has issued its support for Saudi Arabia amid tensions with Houthi. Pakistan also says that any attack on Pakistan flagged ship, would result in severe consequences. Saudi Air Force launched airstrikes on Sanaa Airport on July 14, 2026 after an Iranian airliner broken the Saudi siege on Yemeni airspace. In response, Yemen launched 6 Ballistic Missiles towards Saudi Arabian air base, which got intercepted later. Pakistan Navy has been deployed in Red Sea in 2023-24 amid Red Sea crisis and ensured its Maritime sea lines of communication. Pakistan Navy launched Operation Muhafizul Bahar in March 2026, and ensured safe maritime trade in Strait of Hormuz. Pakistan's response to Yemen is critical as any Red Sea blockade would cause trouble not only for Pakistan's trade trouble but also the Saudi Defence Pact pulls Pakistan's influence in this tension. It would be a sort of diplomatic sign to not let the trade hurt in Red Sea. But I hope, even if Pakistan Navy is deployed there, it'll be for defensive purposes not to attack Houthis and backdoor talks will remain intact to suppress the tensions between KSA & Yemeni Houthis and we can hope for the best.

Do not blame the Afghan Taliban Regime's likely-deliberate placing of a drug rehab center right next to a suicide drone manufacturing factory on Pakistan.
Strike footage from onboard the combat aircraft involved in the strike shows the exact building targeted, and how the drug rehabilitation center was NOT hit. The same images are attached here.
Secondly, a large amount of secondary explosions were seen when the strike occurred, consistent with heavy amounts of ammunition being cooked off after the strike.
No location without ammunition would cause such secondary explosions.
Thirdly, images of the drug rehab center taken just the next morning show that the entire structure is mostly standing, inconsistent with the heavy strikes that were alleged by the Afghan Taliban (and seconded enthusiastically by Indian media) to have hit the rehab center.
If the center had been actually hit, it would have collapsed on itself.
These three points of argument prove beyond any reasonable doubt that Pakistan targeted a military target legitimately, and extensive amounts of ammunition kept at the target cooked off into secondary explosions that hit a nearby rehab center, causing it to catch fire.

Oh you've GOT to be kidding me... I thought this issue was already done-and-dusted, it has been concluded with OSINT-proven satellite imagery, onboard strike footage from the combat aircraft involved, testimonials from the ground by Afghan journalists and simple OSINT investigations that Pakistan hit an Afghan Taliban military target containing explosives/ammunition at a known, legitimate military target, which cooked off into a cascade of secondary explosions that caused a nearby drug-rehabilitation center to catch fire.

India captured Chachro on 8 December 1971 and occupied around 1,740 square miles of desert in the Chachro–Naya Chor sector. However, an Indian attack towards Umerkot on 13 December was repelled by a Pakistani counterattack.
Pakistan successfully held Naya Chor with reinforcements and strong PAF air support, preventing India from advancing deeper into Sindh. Although India captured a large stretch of desert, it failed to achieve its main operational objective of breaking into Pakistan's core areas of Sindh and instead ended up occupying far-flung, desolate, and largely uninhabited territory of negligible strategic importance.

No comparison ... Pakistan never used sophisticated weapons & no salvo launch tactics like Iran is doing by combining hundreds of shahed type K.D with SRBM/IRBM ...
Fatah 1 GMLRS hardly qualifies for this kind of "modern threat" ... few CM-400 & one-off Fatah 2 was the max used by Pak from its mid tier.
Comparison is only possible if somebody launches en mass and u are able to stop it. No auch thing happened either way in the subcontinent due to very limited scope of conflict.

There are reasons why Pakistan won't get the J-35AE tomorrow, BUT it's got nothing to do with China being worried about technology leakage when this fighter is literally being made to export to the world, especially in countries currently using US/EU fighters (e.g., MENA).

PAF has enough confidence to transfer its own airframes from its inventory to assist a customer. Meanwhile, what's the status on Tejas? Hasn't reliably replaced the aging aircraft in IAF's inventory en masse, let alone be used in front like combat.

@backoffbud @Editorwithchai It depends if the USA can realistically lobby the cancellation of such a sale. Only way that's happening is if UAE or the gulf gets F-35s. Also UAE was bankrolling Sukhoi in the development of Su-75 before it pulled out. So nothing really can be ruled out

@backoffbud I do get the US reservations of Chinese advanced tech in the GCC. But as far as Turkey is concerned, they're a part of NATO, their entire command structure, datalink, etc is very different. Turks breached it by acquiring a Russian asset and are paying the price for it
