@laurashin @MariaShen I would expect BTC to attract enough funding (and definitely enough dev "interest") if it was actually necessary.

Bitcoin is now the 5th largest ecosystem by open-source development. @MariaShen doesn’t think this is a huge issue for BTC, as it's a more robust network than other chains. Do you agree with Maria? Or could lower dev interest be a long-term issue for BTC? buff.ly/3HYrnUL

@coloradotravis You may be generalizing. There are experts who are comfortable shrugging their arms and there are hobbyists with Dunning–Kruger. The incentives depend on whether the expert is paid to influence decision-making - not every professional expert is.

@seanmcarroll What if you were to enumerate all possible universe states; some would look like they contain memory of previous ones, and you can reconstruct apparent world lines out of this, which are characterized by preservation of information via different transformations, so laws emerge?

Currently troubled by: do the laws of physics have an independent existence, or do they simply summarize what happens? Surely the latter. (What kind of existence could they have, independent of what happens?) But then why do they keep holding, day after day?
