Can we start charging a $500-$1000(maybe more) tax to all electric vehicles as they don’t pay and road gas taxes for road maintenance but are 50-100% heavier causing much more damage to the roads and bridges causing even bigger potholes Answer this question as the internet would love to see how serious you are about potholes and road maintenance

Gas taxes fund road maintenance. Remove the funding, and the potholes don't get fixed. If the potholes aren't fixed, the line is "Look at all the potholes the Liberals caused!!!" Conservatives aren't interested in making your life better, they're interested in making you angry.

Reminder that NASA is spending $20 Billion ($27.8 Billion Canadian) to build a base on the Moon. Source spaceflightnow.com/2026/03/25/nas… Clearly Canada is corrupt when it spends over three times the amount to build one rail line. Who's getting paid what? Kickbacks?
Paul Mitchell@PaulMitchell_AB

Ottawa wants to spend $90 Billion on high-speed rail between Toronto and Quebec City. That's $4000 out of the pocket of every Canadian taxpayer to fund something that 99% will never use. As usual, Western Canadians will be paying to subsidize Ontario and Quebec. Insanity.

Easter has long been one of the last holidays where tradition still dictated what landed on the dinner table. Lamb for many. Ham for most. Turkey, occasionally. But in 2026, something has shifted—and not subtly. This year, the Easter menu is being decided less by culture and more by cost. Full article below.

How can Finance Minister Champagne LIE and say that CANADA is the 2nd fastest growing economy in the G7, when almost every other report shows that only Canada’s economy contracted, and has been deteriorating for at least a year 👀 Why do they LIE so much 🇨🇦

Then start voting for politicians which take our debt we are leaving our children seriously and begin rectifying it, if they don’t then vote them out. Politicians feel way too comfortable “working for us” when they disappoint you too much then fire them, eventually they will get the point and continually work harder to keep our vote. Canadians need to realize that we aren’t in a cult , on either side of the political spectrum

@mit46744465 @ShaneWenzel That is what politicians say but it never happens. Look at the US. They talk about reducing debt but neither side ever does it. Those children and grandchildren need a strong secure Canada.

Canada is under pressure to hit a 5% NATO target. Is national defence worth a 2% GST hike? Don't forget to Like and Retweet to get more people in the conversation!

Pay for it by reducing federal government wasteful and idiotic spending, that’ll pay for our military to once again become a middle military power. I would agree to the 2% increase for paying off our national debt, but all wasteful spending must immediately stop. We can’t leave our Children and Grandchildren in this much debt

@ShaneWenzel How could you not accept the hike in GST? In an increasingly hostile world where friends talk about conquering us and try to divide us within we better have a formidable armed forces. People need to wake up to a brand new world.

@ShaneWenzel @Victoria59L Start being a responsible steward of our federal government and inevitably the savings made will easily pay for our military spending up to 5% of GDP and possibly higher to make Canada a strong middle power military

Canadians who want high-speed rail don’t care whether it’s built in Eastern Canada or Western Canada. We just want great things built in this country again. 🇨🇦

@Nasdad_TO It’s not High Speed Rail, it’s a dedicated rail line to passenger rail cars instead of sharing with freight trains, for now but eventually they will be able to use the same railway

The leader of the Bloc compared the $90 billion high-speed rail to Bigfoot. Nobody in the media blinked. Poilievre opposes the exact same project and suddenly he’s “thinking small” and “losing the plot.” Blanchet sees it. Poilievre sees it. Canadians see it. The only people who don’t see it are the ones paid to cover for the government. x.com/sarobertsonca/…

I have told my kids that I in fact voted Justin Trudeau in 2015 and within months realized that it was a huge mistake on my behalf and have tried rectifying that in all following elections, as we can realize our mistakes and change direction. I’m not beholden to any political party but rather I hold the party’s and leadership accountable, and take into account that no party should stay in power that long as they then believe that they are above all and don’t fear the voter’s. Remember under no circumstance are politicians our friends and most likely despise Us, we are the commoners, the Yobs I do like what Pierre Poilievre stands for and his policies and if he won next election it would be great, but if corruption and incompetence started creeping into his party I would vote him out (accountability) , one of the disgusting issues I had in Harpers government was a $16 orange juice, oh how I miss $16 dollar scandals now. Have a great Easter Weekend

I wrote a piece yesterday (in French) addressing the reasons that motivated Carney to become Prime Minister of Canada. They were mostly personal (Brookfield). This was one of the comments I received: “I don’t care why, but just the fact that he stands up to Trump and that this orange madman is angry with Carney, I’m satisfied.” Unfortunately, this is how the majority of Canadians feel. If Trump was the evil person the media depicted him to be, how did he win a convincing majority even though 90% of media coverage on him was negative while 85% on Kamala was positive? Don’t give me the “Americans are stupid” bullshit. Libtards still haven’t figured this out, proof that TDS actually exists. People need to stop blaming Trump. The day Canadians realize Trump isn’t the villain he’s portrayed as will mark the beginning of the end for Carney and the Liberals. Canada’s emotional rage toward Trump and his allies isn’t good for the country, but it has benefited the Liberal Party. The Liberals knew they couldn’t campaign on a decade of failures, corruption, and economic decline. With the help of subsidized media, they focused instead on Trump and his team. The country is plunging into recession, but that doesn’t matter. Canadians would follow Carney off a cliff if they thought it would give Trump the finger. The Liberals have made hatred of Donald Trump their entire personality. Canadians are easily manipulated and haven’t yet woken up to reality. If they devoted even a fraction of their rage against Trump to demanding competence from their own government, this country would be in far better shape. I’m most concerned about the bill that future generations—my children and grandchildren—will have to pay for the legacy we boomers are leaving them.
