I find it amusing because any other language when suggested to stay consistent like that will bombard you with thousands of excuses about ambiguity, difficulty to parse and what not.

What I find amusing about Jai syntax is that the signature of a procedure is (arg1, arg2, ...) -> result Args are optional. Result's too. So the procedure with no args and result must be just (). And it is!

@kvvoya What are the facts you are referring to? I just googled it and found this video. Is it fake? Honest questions – I'm out of the loop (and hardly care 😛) youtu.be/GubUeJgfW28?si…

@WillChildsKlein @ridestheTalot Yeah I don't really understand – you'd think they would update all of the user-facing mentions of the "Commuter Rail" all over their website and elsewhere, and then MAYBE in a few years switch the API slugs over to the new terminology. But whatever, I'm happy to see movement

@ridestheTalot this is one of the most insane software decisions i’ve seen in years. make a breaking change to downstream apps for no reason?! end users don’t even see API output!!

We found some grade discrepancies on the new Summer Street Cycle Track where it meets the driveways. We decided the best way to amend this was to infrared pave these areas, which involves reheating the asphalt and resetting the grade. 🚜🚲

@SelphinRose @GarlicCorgi @quesador @AlexNowrasteh I don't think you two disagree, if I'm interpreting this confusing discussion correctly. Adjusted for PPP, which we all think is the right thing to do in order to make a comparison, German median wage is about 18% higher than Mississippi median wage. ...right?

Families are struggling to put food on the table. I sent a letter to @Kroger about their decision to roll out surge pricing using facial recognition technology. Facial recognition technology is often discriminatory and shouldn't be used in grocery stores to price gouge residents.

@CaponTrade @Mike_from_PA @agraybee It's not even a sacrifice. Conservative republicans are the only voting bloc that oppose abolishing the EC; shocker. It's even supported by moderate and liberal Republicans.

Everything Price Sufferer (but especially eggs)
"How is this race close" because of the electoral college. That's literally it. America has convincingly rejected Trump twice and every indicator says we will again. It's tedious to say because it's a hopeless cause but we can't lose sight of the fact that America hates Trump.

@CaponTrade @Mike_from_PA @agraybee I see, ok. Hard disagree. "We want everyone's vote to matter the same" sounds, to me, like even something one of those power-hungry Pennsylvanians can get behind...

@mitchellsalad @Mike_from_PA @agraybee Pennsylvania voters are especially important right now under the electoral college. Saying “we want everyone’s vote to matter the same” is tantamount to saying “we want Pennsylvanian votes to matter less” Saying we want someone’s vote to matter less is bad for persuasion.

@Mike_from_PA @agraybee So funny that you’re so dumb you can’t comprehend that there may be a practical reason not to tell someone whose vote has elevated importance that you want to take some of that value away. Go punch some couches and stop talking about politics since you’re so clearly ignorant.

@ladybndip @Mike_from_PA There is a limit to how much the goal posts can move. It's set by the worse candidate. I already said that, though. What's your strategy? We're talking voter strategy. Your options are abstain, vote Trump, vote Kamala, vote for some third party.

@Mike_from_PA Well I can't snap a stick of celery between my ass cheeks and change the national voting mechanism. At the eleventh hour all one can do is hold their nose and vote. Reform can happen, but abstaining from voting for a stinker helps the stinkier.

@_DavidLeBlanc @Mike_from_PA That's the real answer, but beside the point. A third-party vote in a swing state is equivalent to a vote for whomever is less similar to the third party. Need a system that isn't first-past-the-post for that to change.

@Mike_from_PA No, she doesn't, but she's still the lesser of two evils. I'm more lamenting our political system and less endorsing Harris... not sure what answers you were expecting to your question but that's my take. Electoral reform would massively expedite real progress.
