I’m a terrible speller—dyslexic. I’m very careful to use built-in spellcheckers, which are a lifesaver—but I’m also colorblind and often can’t see the red squiggle, especially on a dark background. I stare at words trying to determine if they’re underlined, but that requires me to suspect my spelling in the first place. And because of the dyslexia, I often read the word that I THOUGHT I typed, rather than the word I actually typed. So the process is frustrating and error prone. The color should be user selectable. I see the (much less useful) grammar squiggle with no difficulty at all.
