@parkrunUK I did my first parkrun on Saturday. It was friendly and well-organised and I had fun!

@MrJamesMay Surely now is the time to distance yourself professionally from Jeremy Clarkson? Your TV is amiable and engaging. His is the opposite. He can't take you any higher. It's time to break free.

@NewStatesman One thing they are doing is refusung to accept commonly-used younger people's IDs as voter IDs, which makes it harder for young people to vote against them

@BBCMorningLive @xandvt Diagnosed type 1 at age 26, 25 years ago. ♥️ NHS staff ♥️ Technology can help 1) pens that remember what insulin dose you've given 2) sensors that will tell you at anytime what your current blood-glucose level is, where it is going and which notify you if you are going too low.

Are the new Station Square buildings @CB1_Development supposed to be finished now? The quality of work on these columns is really shoddy. This is supposed to be a prestigious gateway to the city, no?

@Sam_in_Cam @CB1_Development Speaking of CB1, have you seen the poor state of the roads on and around Mill Park Road and on Station Road? Raised ironworks, sharp ramps and joins with no surface at all. It is unfinished and looks unlikely to be finished any time soon. 🚲🏗️

@ab4scambs 1) Why do you make contentious statements and not allow replies (even from your constituents)? 2) What is your counter-proposal to solve the congestion/pollution problem that is already here in Cambridge and will get worse in years to come?
Anthony Browne@Browne_Anthony_

(1/2) Cities around the country are introducing measures to improve air quality and reduce congestion, but as this chart shows, nowhere in the whole of the UK has introduced (or is even contemplating) a congestion charge as draconian as @greatercambs wants in Cambridge.

@natashaloder I had covid and flu vaccines given at the same time. The only downside was a sore arm which gave me a poor night's sleep. A couple of friends had a bad dose of the flu and said they would prefer to have been vaccinated.

What do we think about having a flu jab and a covid booster on the same day?

@NewStatesman @sarahmanavis Normal people have so little actual power or influence over our governments that mockery of those in power releases the pressure - perhaps it keeps people taking to the streets? Besides, there is nothing new about satire.

Mock the Week and Have I Got News For You gave rise to a chummy, point-scoring attitude that harms us all, writes @sarahmanavis. #Echobox=1664540838" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">newstatesman.com/culture/2022/0…

@Sam_in_Cam @CambsCC @camcycle @alexbeckett The post was being carried down Sedley Taylor Road by teenagers yesterday morning but back in situ yesterday evening, then moved again this morning. There is no padlock so it's easy to remove.

@alexbeckett Or maybe temporarily suspend parking on the residential streets until the work is complete?

@alexbeckett Instead of funnelling everyone down the same road, maybe alternate residential roads could be made one-way until the work is complete

@alexbeckett What can be done to reduce the impact on local residential streets? I've seen some appalling driving behaviour as people get frustrated by delays, e.g. cars being driven in cycle lanes, motorbikes being ridden on pavements

I have reported verge parking here, blocking the shared use footway, so many times. Nothing seems to change. Either our system of planning enforcement is irrevocably broken, or this site is somehow being given extraordinary latitude to break its planning conditions.
