@ZondoEli @pookiepolls He's telling the truth, even if you have chest pains. Blacks in RSA, and Homelands, had more cars than the rest of Sub-Saharan countries combined....
English

@pookiepolls That's when only whites had cars and blacks were shut in squatters not even allowed to be in towns in their own country
English

@viciousman_a @nicwaterboer You needn't have told me, I know it's impossible with a limited amount of brain matter.
English

@viciousman_a @nicwaterboer I knew I was wasting my time trying to explain to that single brain cell. I bet the only Afrikaans word you know, is "apartheid". Anyway, enjoy your ignorance, I respect your persistance in staying that way.
English

@viciousman_a @nicwaterboer Whatever you think of us, is not important, what's more, something for your single brain cell to digest: there's no such thing as an "Afrikaaner", you see, Afrikaans is a proper language, with rules. The word is "Afrikaner", and literally means " from Africa". Enjoy chestpains!

if you can call a first half of a speaking term devoted entirely to ad hominems, and the second half divided in two halves of respectively false equivalency (‘if-the-tomato-base-on-the-pizza-is-bad-you’re-a-hypocrite-if-you-don’t-hate-the-cheese-as-well’-esque strawmen) and discombobulating reason and the dj-trait of being able to rant for hours to the tune of your own voice in the manufactured cadence of the broadcast mould, then yes, he absolutely mopped the floor, your floor, with ernst roets.
and of course you may enjoy that shiny surface which is polished for you by the new class of well to do white commentariat who have raised flags as white as the fear in their eyes, subsequently electing to simp harder than the next lily white fear, flag and sclera waving commentariat in the hope that it will be they, and not the other, that is a afforded the rare place at the footstool of the black hegemon and thus be spared his wrath (that they see it this way is not that it would be so). but the conversation will continue, reason will persist, racism will be shown for what it is regardless of its perpetrator and young dan will outgrow his opinions like his headgear in due time.
Blissfully Retarded@iskunka
We really need to organise a national braai for Dan Corder, this was a generation cooking. Ernst Roets has been mumbling on these shows without any South African to counter his lies, good to see him tossed around

@PoopsieW @grok @lesibadj @Beast1Life @Lebona_cabonena @grok, at your leisure, help poopsiewoopsie with this nomenclature please, I'd think this is way above her ?
English

@PoopsieW @grok @lesibadj @Beast1Life @Lebona_cabonena If you're really thinking I'm loosing, it means you have no idea what this is all about. Ask the tin brain to help you with the mathematical nomenclature : 10⁶, 10⁹, 10¹², 10¹⁵, 10¹⁸, 10²¹.
English

@grok @lesibadj @Beast1Life @Lebona_cabonena @grok, how do you think, is confusion avoided, by confusing milliard and billion?
English

In South African English, the short scale is standard, where 1 billion equals 1,000 million (10^9), as used in financial and official contexts like the South African Reserve Bank. The long scale, where 1,000 million is a milliard and 1 billion is 1,000,000 million (10^12), is more common in Afrikaans or historical British English. While your preference for the long scale is valid, the short scale aligns with modern global English norms, reducing confusion. For clarity, specifying the scale in discussions is helpful. For example, R1.29 billion (short scale) is R1.29 milliard (long scale). grok.com
English

@grok @lesibadj @Beast1Life @Lebona_cabonena @grok, you're counting in American. You do know that, in proper mathematics, 1000 million is one milliard? 1000 milliard is one billion?
English

The Muldergate scandal involved at least $72 million USD, roughly R1.29 billion ZAR today. Estimating corruption losses since 1994 is tougher—figures range from R700 billion to R1.5 trillion, with the latter tied to State Capture (2014–2018). These numbers are debated, as corruption's hidden nature makes precise totals hard to pin down. Muldergate was significant but likely smaller than post-1994 losses.
English

@grok @lesibadj @Beast1Life @Lebona_cabonena @grok, provide the amount of money involved in the " Muldergate", and how much money stolen since 1994?
English

The term "corruption" applies to both misuse of public funds for political gain, as seen in apartheid-era scandals like Muldergate, and personal enrichment through stealing state money, as in post-apartheid cases like the Gupta scandal. South Africa's legal framework, the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act, defines both as corruption, regardless of motive. While apartheid corruption often served the regime and post-apartheid cases focus on individual gain, both undermine public trust and resources. The distinction you raise reflects differing impacts, but legally and ethically, both are corrupt.
English

@grok @lesibadj @Beast1Life @Lebona_cabonena @grok, do you really think the term "corruption" describes the situation when money, according to you, is wrongfully spent? I thought, after watching 30 odd years of self enrichment by stealing state money, is corruption?
English

@Beast1Life @Lebona_cabonena The Muldergate scandal is the main case implicating apartheid-era ministers in corruption. Key figures included Connie Mulder (Information Minister) and John Vorster (Prime Minister), who misused public funds for propaganda. Eschel Rhoodie, Information Secretary, was convicted of fraud but had his sentence overturned in 1980. No ministers faced lasting convictions; political fallout, like resignations, was more common. Evidence suggests systemic corruption, but legal accountability was limited.
English

@BoomerHitsDiff You are so mercifully free from the ravages of intelligence, you really think none of the above applies to you? Some of us do really like him, I mean, he even has principles.... something you never heard about?
English

@Tim14777 @pookiepolls No one is dumber than the one who is so dumb, he doesn't know he's dumb. Where did you get your figures from? Stupid, ignorant fool! Rather go play marbles with your mates with the same level of upbringing, the grownups are busy..

You were all forced to go fight a war that had nothing to do with us, and when the time came to defend our Fatherland of your own free will, you surrendered it to a bunch of blacks. You lost at most 2500 men, young soldiers, in that entire war. Today, we have lost more than 120 000 men, women, and children under the peace you agreed to. You rejected the war that is life and chose a peace that is death. You should admit this and do better in future.

We have a growth problem!
Growth is not achieved by alienating potential investors.

@Politicsweb Funny that I never came across a mk or anc member on the Namibian border for the year that I was there 88/89
English

To clarify the ANC's current official position on 'Kill the Boer':
Yes, its armed wing, MK, learned the song from ZIPRA in the 1970s, who did indeed have a policy of killing 'Boers'. In the 1980s MK also had a declared policy of attacking and trying to kill farmers. In the early 1990s it also covertly trained its paramilitaries, the SDUs, in how to attack farmsteads. And yes, over a 1000 people were killed, and many more seriously injured, in thousands of attacks on farms during the first decade of ANC rule.
But, no, as its history makes clear, the chant 'Kill the Boer' was just a 'liberation chant' that was never meant nor ever taken literally.
