Then you don't need our money. Cool. Keep your drugs and illegal immigrants on your side of the border. We trying to keep it out, protect our citizens, and hold people accountable. Would think you'd wavy to protect your children and families, too. We are not obligated to support any other country or any of their woke policies. In 2022, 88% of countries received US aid. We send millions to Canada and have a $ 45 billion trade deficits. The importation of energy is a huge reason for the deficit. We open our energy production & manufacturing shut down by Biden, and we bring prices down again. We don't need to import from anyone.

The Maine economy is integrated with Canada, our most important trading partner. Certain tariffs will impose a significant burden on many families, manufacturers, the forest products industry, small businesses, lobstermen, and agricultural producers. For example, 95 percent of the heating oil used by most Mainers to heat their homes comes from refineries in Canada. The Air National Guard Base in Bangor depends completely on jet fuel and diesel from Canada. From fisheries to potato farmers to paper mills, these tariffs will have a significant impact on Maine’s economy and risk increasing costs for our residents. I am working with the Trump Administration to help its officials better understand the potential ramifications of certain tariffs on Maine and to find out more about their implementation, scope, duration, and other important information, including any exemptions they may make for northern border states, certain industries, agricultural producers, and others who rely on trade with Canada.

@ReallyAmerican1 It's ok, Trump said that tariffs will be paid by the other countries, not US consumers. So tariffs on products coming from Mexico will be paid by Mexico! Exactly like Mexico paid for his wall...

🚨BREAKING: WH Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt just confirmed that 25 percent tariffs will be imposed on Canada and Mexico starting this weekend. Additionally, a ten percent tariff will be imposed on China, starting this weekend. So, those higher prices Americans have started seeing under Trump are about to go even higher, because consumers, not countries, pay the tariffs!

I just watched President Trump’s news conference on the heartbreaking, horrific accident at DCA, and I have to tell you: It’s one thing for internet pundits to spew up conspiracy theories. It’s another for the President of the United States of America to throw out idle speculation even as victims are still being recovered, and families are still being notified. It turns your stomach.

BREAKING: MAGA world melts down as Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde calls Donald Trump out directly to his face during a sermon at the National Cathedral — urging him to find compassion and mercy. This is the last thing Trump expected today... "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared. There are gay, lesbian, transgender children, Democratic, Republican, independent families — some who fear for their lives," the reverend said as Trump sat in the pews. She said that millions of Americans "put their trust in you." "The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meatpacking plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals — they may not be citizens or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals," she added. Destroying Republicans lies about migrants, she said that those workers "pay taxes" and are "faithful members" of American churches, mosques, synagogues, and mosques. Appealing to empathy that Trump lacks, she said that the children of those migrants "fear their parents are going to be taken away." "Find compassion," she added, urging him to help vulnerable people fleeing from war zones and persecution — a tall ask for a man as demonstrably anti-refugee as Trump. Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that a real Christian president would heed the reverend's words — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. BREAKING: President Biden enrages MAGA world by unveiling a list of his numerous foreign policy achievements — while taking some powerful jabs at Donald Trump's failed legacy. This is an absolute masterclass... "New challenges will certainly emerge in the months and years ahead, but even so, it’s clear my administration is leaving the next administration with a very strong hand to play, and we’re leaving them and America more friends, stronger alliances," Biden said during a speech at the State Department. "These adversaries are weaker and under pressure. An America that once again is leading, uniting countries, setting the agenda, bringing others together behind our plans and missions," he added. It was the next part that has Republicans howling in anger... "The United States is winning the worldwide competition compared to four years ago," said Biden. "America is stronger. Our alliances are stronger, our adversaries and competitors are weaker. We have not gone to war to make these things happen." President Biden was able to tout his strengthening of NATO and crucial alliances in the Indo-Pacific. In Ukraine, Biden said that his administration "laid the foundation to the next administration so they can protect the bright future of the Ukrainian people." He also said that the United States now stands "in a better strategic position for long-term competition with China." In another move that historians will praise, Biden discussed his withdraw from the disastrous forever war in Afghanistan. "I saw no reason to keep thousands of servicemen in Afghanistan," said Biden. "In my view, it was time to end the war and bring our troops home." Looking to the future, Biden called on the incoming Trump administration to "stay in the lead" when it comes to artificial intelligence and clean energy. "I know some in the incoming administration, some are skeptical about the need for clean energy," said Biden. "They don’t even believe climate change is real. They must come from a different century. They’re wrong. They are dead wrong. It’s the single greatest existential threat to humanity." Please retweet and ❤️ if you think that Joe Biden was a vastly superior president to Donald Trump — and consider joining the growing exodus to Tribel, a new pro-democracy social network that is exploding in popularity because Twitter and Facebook are trying to stop its growth — which is only making Tribel grow even faster. Full letter. #cdnpoli : Today is my 91st birthday. It's an opportunity to celebrate with my family and friends, to look back on the life I've had the privilege of leading, and to reflect on how this country we all love so much has grown and changed over the nine decades I've spent on this earth. This year, I've also decided to give myself a birthday present. I'm going to do something in this text that I don't do very often anymore: express myself on a major problem that affects the state of the nation and deeply concerns me, like so many other Canadians. Of course, it's about the totally unacceptable insults and unprecedented threats to our sovereignty from Donald Trump. I have two very clear and simple messages. To Donald Trump, from one old man to another: Wake up! What makes you think that Canadians would ever give up the greatest country in the world? And make no mistake, that's what we are. Canadians value their independence. We love our country. We have built something here that is the envy of the world in compassion, understanding, tolerance, and finding a way for people of different backgrounds and beliefs to live together in harmony. We have also built a strong social safety net—including public healthcare that we are very proud of. It is not perfect, but it is based on the principle that the most vulnerable among us must be protected. It may not be the "American way" or the "Trump way," but it is the reality I have witnessed and lived throughout my long life. If you think that threatening and insulting us will change our minds, you really don't know us. You don't know that when it came to fighting two world wars for freedom, we signed up—both times, years before your country did. We fought and sacrificed enormously. We also had the courage to say no to your country when it tried to drag us into a completely unjustified and destabilizing war in Iraq. We built a nation on the most rugged and difficult terrain imaginable, and we did it against all odds. We may seem easygoing and gentle, but make no mistake: we are determined and tough. And that brings me to my second message—to all our leaders, federal and provincial, and to those who aspire to lead our country: Start showing that determination and tenacity. This is what Canadians want to see—this is what they need to see. This is what we call leadership. Canadians are ready to follow. You have to lead the way. I know the spirit is there. Since Trump's attacks, all political parties have come out in support of Canada. In fact, to my great satisfaction, even the Bloc Québécois is standing up for Canada! But you don't win a hockey game by playing defense alone. We all know that even if we meet one demand, President Trump will come back with another, bigger one. This is not diplomacy; this is blackmail. We need a different approach—one that will break this cycle. President Trump has accomplished one thing: he has unified Canadians more than ever before! All of our country's leaders have come together in a determination to defend Canadian interests. When I became Prime Minister, Canada was facing a crisis of national unity. The threat of Quebec separating was very real. We acted to address this existential threat in a way that made Canadians, including Quebecers, stronger, more united, and even more proud of Canadian values. Now there is another existential threat, and we must once again reduce our vulnerability. That is the challenge for this generation of political leaders. And you will not do it by using the same old approaches. Yes, telling Americans that we are their best friends and closest trading partner is a good thing. So is intense lobbying in Washington and state capitals, emphasizing that tariffs will also hurt their economies. As for retaliatory tariffs: when you are attacked, you must fight back. But we also need to play offense. Let’s tell Trump that we have border problems with the United States too. Canada has strong gun control laws, but illegal guns are flooding in from the United States. We need to tell him that we expect the United States to take action to reduce the number of guns coming into Canada. We also want to protect the Arctic. But the United States refuses to recognize the Northwest Passage through the Canadian Arctic as Canadian waters and insists that it is an international waterway. We need the United States to recognize the Northwest Passage as Canadian waters. We also need to reduce our vulnerability further. We need to be stronger. There are more trade barriers between provinces than between Canada and the United States. Let’s undertake a national project to eliminate those barriers! Let’s strengthen the bonds that bind this vast nation together—for example, by creating a true energy grid across the country. We must also understand that Donald Trump is not just threatening us; he is also targeting a growing number of other countries and the European Union itself. He is only just getting started. Canada should quickly convene a meeting of the leaders of Denmark, Panama, Mexico, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to formulate a plan to combat these threats. Every time Mr. Trump opens his mouth, he creates new allies for all of us. Let’s organize! To counter unreasonable, raw power, we need strength in numbers. The challenge is not to wait in fear for Donald Trump’s next move but to build a country and an international community that can resist him. Canadians know me. They know that I am optimistic, practical, and that I always speak my mind. I have made my share of mistakes in my long career, but I have never doubted for a moment the decency of my fellow Canadians—or even my political opponents. The current and future generations of political leaders should remember that they are not each other's enemies, but adversaries. No one has ever loved the harshness of the political arena as much as I have. But I have always understood that each of us is trying to make a positive contribution to making our community and country a better place. That spirit is more important than ever as we face this new challenge. They should keep that in mind. I am 91 years old today and in good health. And I stand on the ramparts to help defend our country's independence, as I have done all my life. Long live Canada!

The last time I visited Ottawa, I said that the United States chooses to link our future with Canada because we know that we’ll find no better ally, no closer partner, and no steadier friend. The same can be said of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The U.S.-Canada alliance is stronger because of him. The American and Canadian people are safer because of him. And the world is better off because of him. I am proud to call him my friend. And I will be forever grateful for his partnership and leadership.
