It’s all about us. It’s only about the people inside the walls. You must block out the outside noise. People will always have criticisms or opinions, but they do not matter. Don’t focus on them. Trust the process. Trust your plan. Believe in what you do because you’re the one living it and going through it. You’re the only one that truly knows what is real & what the truth is.
Win the inner battle. Protect inside your walls. Keep moving forward!

Micheal Jordan might be the ultimate example on responding to setbacks. Successful people all have a comeback story. This is because they fought through failures to get them to where they are today. Their legacy was forged through fire, not through ease & comfort.
As you get older, your rebound time should go down. As you learn and grow, your ability to rebound after a setback should shrink. That’s developing mental toughness. I define toughness as, “Be at your best and overcome all adversity.” Setbacks are inevitable. No body is perfect, and there’s always going to be someone better. What do you do with that setback and how do you respond? That determines how your future will play out. All of these people listed embraced delayed gratification. They didn’t take the short-term treat, they worked, overcame and conquered the long-term success.
When setbacks happen, ask yourself, “how can I use this? How can I respond? What needs to improve or change?”

Winning isn’t based off of 1 or 2 plays. It’s the accumulation of hundreds of small actions throughout the course of the game. It’s giving relentless effort and making the routine plays.
It takes doing the fundamentals better than anyone else.
Winning isn’t always flashy and glamorous. It’s blue collar, hard work, giving everything you have, and executing the small things.
Put in the work.
Be a great teammate.
Practice and execute the fundamentals.
Do this and you have the formula, and opportunity, to become a champion.

Your “why” is what fuels you.
It must be internally motivated. If it’s based on external outcomes, it will fade when you fall short of those outcomes.
Your “why” must be bigger than yourself. It should drive you everyday to get better and to overcome all obstacles and adversity.
When things get tough, remember why you started.

Program Culture/Standards
- "You have to define the culture/standards for the players. So they know exactly what you expect from them."
- "When they don't do those things, no matter what they are, you have to confront them. You have to show them that these behaviors that you're defining for them are actually going to help them accomplish the goals that they have."
- "I think it's very important that you sit down players and know what their goals are. Everyone needs to have goals and a vision for what they want to do. They have to understand what they have to do to do it and they have to be willing to do those things. But they also have to edit their behavior to be able to do those things and they have to have enough discipline to execute it every day."

Dan Campbell said, "belief comes from the work that you put in.”
There are no other secrets to success.
Success is about Grit.
Success is about Work Ethic.
Success is about Consistency.
“No Deposit No Return.”

Dan Campbell said, "It's our core foundation, men. Grit. And what does it mean? Really, in a nutshell, I think it means this: we're going to go a little bit longer, we'll push a little harder, and we'll think a little deeper and a little sharper. GRIT. It isn’t about talent or luck. Grit is about heart, resilience, and the decision to keep moving forward, no matter what. Grit chooses to go a little bit longer when the odds are against you. Grit is about honing your focus, staying sharp, and never backing down.
