@MathMath901 Honeywell 6000's CPU operated on 36-bit words. 36 doesn't divide equally in 8, but does in 9.

@mlagace @1GamewithDave1 No, they don't need them if the games are made properly like they used to be. If anything, this just proves their laziness.

@vicariousdrama They could use the "continuous difficulty adjustment" algorithm used by BSV and BCH. Otherwise they will most likely need to change PoW.

@thepowerfulHRV BIP-110 won't reduce miner revenue because miners will just stick to the most profitable chain.
English

Genuine question: What is the point of BIP-110?
From my understanding, “spammers” pay transaction fees to miners, which only strengthens Bitcoin’s security.
Yet transaction fees remain very low for legitimate financial transactions.
Won’t BIP-110 just reduce miner revenue, weakening Bitcoin’s security?
Remember, “spam” was only made possible by previous (and arguably unnecessary) changes to the code, such as SegWit and Taproot.
Might further changes to the code have additional unintended consequences?
Bitcoin is working fine, why mess with it?

@brockpierson Eh, Vista set the groundwork for Windows 7. Windows 8 was the one that really sucked.

I noticed that the GPU I'm training on is only at 80% capacity, but already at 300W power draw. This is on our @Dell 7875 Workstation.
Does that mean it's "electrically throttled" on a power budget just like it would be on a heat budget?

@BTCBreadMan You collect $8 per share of $STRK and once MSTR is at $1000, you can convert 10 shares of STRK to 1 share of MSTR.
English

@davepl1968 @Dell Ah that's too bad! Don't have much experience with the 6000 Pro (want one, bit they are expensive!) but you can look into undervolting or even underclocking to free up some of the power budget. I typically flash a different firmware when I can.
