@mikejulian It's so hilarious as a vendor seeing this (though I see it less these days). Once upon a time it was way more common to see a large enterprise generate 20-30 lines of signed xml instead of building a real IdP. OIDC and COVID era push to SaaS IdPs mostly ended that though.

On one hand, I get that supporting SAML SSO isn't hard from an engineering perspective and so why pay one of the many SSO vendors out there (WorkOS, Stytch, Clerk, etc) but as a customer, it's infuriating when a company builds it themselves and only supports specific IdP vendors
