Waterfalls increase dissolved oxygen levels in rivers and lakes. Dissolved oxygen benefits the water quality of bodies of water and helps aerobic organisms thrive within those bodies of water! @vahsapes #apesaqua

Rain is important because it feeds our immediate needs without requiring us to tap our reserves in the water table. Rain provides a renewable resource that can meet our food production needs if managed properly. #apesaqua @vahsapes

Root systems of plants like grass and trees help hold the soil in place during rain and wind to help combat erosion. This tree is not real other trees that are outside in the ground keep the soil in place during storms and windy days. #apessoil @vahsapes

We can use the triangular soil chart to identify different types of soil based on the percentages of sand, loam, and clay. Just follow the lines that correlate to the numbers. It's easy to use and fun! #apessoil @vahsapes

Pesticides are harmful to the environment because they can get into our water, which has negative impacts on anything that drinks it. #apespest @vahsapes

Currently farmers are using pesticides to try and kill pest so that they can increase their crop yield, but this is leading to several problems such as pesticide-resistance and health complications. #apespest @vahsapes

Having a small body of water on your property can be very good for the environment. If you keep up with it and make sure it is healthy, it can be a great way to provide a habitat or a source of water for any creatures around. #apesbio @vahsapes

Recycling important and it benefits you and your environment. It is a as simple as starting by having two separate buckets for recyclables and trash. Recycling saves energy by reusing certain materials for things rather than using energy to make more. @vahsapes #apeswaste

Pesticides are not good for the environment for many reasons. Although they may help with growing crops, they also are toxic to many insects and other organisms. They can get into our water as well through runoff and rain fall. #apespest @vahsapes

Fun fact about soil: It can take up to 500 years to produce just an inch of top soil. People don’t realize that soil takes long to prduxe because of all the components involved in it. @vahsapes

@CJ17APES @vahsapes It is very sad that trash is left on the beaches daily. A good way to make sure you keep the beach in stellar condition is to make sure you don't bring any plastic with you so there is no risk of it getting out into the open. #apesbio @vahsapes

Waves and storms degrade our beaches daily, trash left on beaches can be swept out to sea and harm or injure marine life. Keep our beaches clean and well kept, leaving the beach you should have everything you brought with you. #apesbio @vahsapes
