@chrispronger Hopefully Red Wings don't suffer from a well-known rebound effect from politics, where the next candidate that gets reigned in after a disappointing campaign from the previous, takes the team in the complete opposite direction. Retool rather than rebuild should be the priority.

@chrispronger Without knowing any information behind the scene and completely shooting from the hip, my guess is that the Larkin scenario opened up a lot of discussions with other players. So much so, that the leadership and ownership had to react aggressively, to stop the boat from leaking.

I’m struggling to figure out why Eeli Tolvanen hasn’t signed anywhere yet.
27 years old, 12G, 24A for 36 points last season through 78 games, 190 points through 423 games in his career.
Solid defensively, likely won’t break the bank on a new contract…

@pauldcronin @Pete___Hughes Very different type of player though. Tolvanen hits 5x more than Roslo, blocks 3x more, and gives the puck away 25 % less. All this while his production per 82 is same as Roslos.
If Roslo is worth 2x4M, Tolvanen is worth 4x5.5M.

@FredSartor @TheHockeyNews He will sign a 1 year bonus deal, not PTO. And besides, he'd go to Switzerland way before Finland, but right now he isn't looking to return to Europe. If health doesn't betray him once again, he has a spot in an NHL line-up for 5-7 more years.
