@Tina_Hokwana The more ndiyi cinga the more I get angry, there were articles written by so called investigative journalists & a whole team of experienced investigators who labeled her a clerk! Not one bothered to seek the truth, just ways to hammer & humiliate because she's black & so guilty

The AU must address the issues that force Africans to abandon their countries and elect to exist as illegal immigrants in South Africa.
John Dramani Mahama@JDMahama

During bilateral talks on the sidelines of the AU Extraordinary Summit in Accra, I reiterated Ghana’s call for the African Union to formally address the escalating xenophobic attacks on foreign nationals in South Africa. I am pleased that AU Commission Chairman Mahmoud Ali Youssouf has acknowledged the urgent need to table this matter for discussion at the next AU Summit. In my meeting with a special envoy dispatched by President Cyril Ramaphosa to meet with me in Accra earlier in the week, I made Ghana’s position clear to the envoy. We do not harbour ill will toward South Africa. However, we remain deeply concerned about the attacks and the significant capital losses suffered by people from various countries on the continent. This undermines the very spirit of African solidarity and our collective efforts toward continental integration. Sweeping this matter under the carpet will not resolve its root causes. That is why Ghana officially wrote to the AU Commission requesting that this issue be placed on the agenda for the next summit. Placing this on the AU agenda gives South Africa a formal, constructive platform to share its perspective, and together, as a continent, work toward a lasting solution. Let us remember that our strength as a continent lies in our unity. Ghana remains committed to working with all AU member states to find lasting solutions that protect the dignity, safety, and investments of every African, everywhere on our continent.

Are South Africans paying attention to what is happening in India - where a minister referred to unemployed youth as “cockroaches” and youth have responded with massive protests calling for very specific reforms in leadership, education and the economy.

The accused in the Matter Mfanafuthi Kunene will return to the dock today on charges of kidnapping, murder and defeating the ends of justice all this linked to the December 2024 disappearance and murder of Mjilo as well as the cover ups that followed. The court this week learnt how Kunene a former colleague of the deceased wrapped her lifeless body with bedsheets placed it into a pit latrine on Christmas eve. The next day, on Christmas Day he then cemented where he hid the body ‘destroying evidence.’

Another drug bust - netting just under R400 000 in contraband - has unfolded in Phoenix this evening. The SAPS Economic Infrastructure Task Team and SAPS Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit, assisted by Excellerate K9, executed a search warrant in Unit 2. They arrested one suspect and seized Mandrax tablets worth almost R20 000. An extensive search of the surrounding flats then turned up rock cocaine, Ecstasy tablets, cocaine powder, crushed Mandrax, and several rounds of ammunition. The operation continues. @eNCA

These guns were allegedly being modified and sold to foreign nationals by a 71–year-old man in Cato Manor. An intelligence-led operation by the eThekwini District Tracing Team this week took officers to this informal settlement. Mbangiseni Ndlovu appeared in court yesterday and is expected to apply for bail next week. The weapons were being sold for R2000 each. While Ndlovu had been linked to the distribution of illegal guns for some time, his sales were focused on foreign nationals since late June. Investigations are continuing. Details on @eNCA #DStv403.
