@RealMikeHollow I'm African myself and I'm not a big fan of the race swaps in movies. It has happened for every race and it's an odd choice from directors. But after seeing this film, it's definitely a top 5 Nolan film. The culture wars surrounding this film are ridiculous.

Just saw The Odyssey and i've gotta say, that was pretty damn good. My only real criticisms are some questionable casting choices (but any of the ones I didn't like were only in it for like 5 minutes each, if that. The films 3 hours), and the on and off contemporary dialogue. I found that really jarring. Jon Bernthal literally sounded like he was playing The Punisher at times. Could have done without that 😂 Aside from that, its an awesome film. Now, before anybody comes for my neck for enjoying this with "you're not Greek, stfu", I am infact Greek and grew up around my Greek friends and family so park that shit at the door. I know my people's history quite well. The films not perfect but its not the hot mess people made it out to be, at least in my opinion. Would I have preferred it Helen of Troy was cast as a Greek woman? Yes. Could I have done without Travis Scott? Of course. Would I watch it again? 100%.

I watched the Odyssey. Holy shit those movie critics and their reviews were actually completely lies. I don't even know how they sleep at night, lying like that. I'm filming my actual honest review tonight, I'll edit it and post it tomorrow. Aside from the awful race swaps, terrible costumes and disrespect for the Greeks, there were some actually really good things about this movie and of course some really bad things. I'll talk honestly about all, the goods and the bads, on tomorrow's review.
