@AMWATERS @LatendresseP Spoiler alert: we were always going to give the 10k. It wasn’t conditional. We just wanted more attention for the @OttawaFoodBank and felt we could get even more engagement (and $) by asking for RTs. It’s not a game.

During these difficult times, our most vulnerable #ottawa residents need our support. Today I spoke with @harleyf & @OttawaFoodBank CEO @MichaelMaidment about how we can help. Harley has agreed to donate $1—up to $10k— to @OttawaFoodBank for every RT this gets!

@Sam_McAleese @tobi @Shopify We definitely agree that those are important issues that need attention, which is why @harleyf and I are regular supporters of shepherds of good hope, @OttawaMission and @SalusOttawa (which I sit on the board of).

But what's your plan to make sure that this transformation includes everyone? What will you, @tobi, & @Shopify do (apart from writing love letters) to move past a *brief* mention of homelessnes and the opioid crisis to actually stop people from dying on the streets in Ottawa?
