When we need them to allow us to use their military bases, their answer is no, then why are we in NATO?
If NATO is just about us defending Europe if they’re attacked, but them denying us basing rights when we need them, that’s not a very good arrangement. That’s a hard one to stay engaged in.

Ukraine and Saudi Arabia have signed a defense agreement, deepening ties between those states. There are also preparations to extend those ties to UAE, Qatar, Jordan and Kuwait.
Ukraine is making clever steps in the Middle East. While the US is increasingly losing trust across the region thanks to the botched situation in the Strait in Hormuz as well as the lack to efficiently counter the wave of Iranian drones, Ukrainian technology and tactics is filling the gap.
The current US administration under Trump has expressed „regrets“ that Ukraine and Saudi Arabia have signed this agreement without consulting Washington. Earlier Trump insulted the de facto leader of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman.
