Cannot deny Halo: Campaign Evolved is the prettiest this franchise has ever looked, Unreal Engine 5 is surprisingly well optimized here for the most part aside from a couple dips and no setting to disable film grain. Enjoying the remake so far but im having disconnect issues in co-op which have been a big frustration especially since you cant resume from checkpoint in co-op, really bad omission of a QoL feature here.

I finished Halo Campaign Evolved and it's simply the original game with better graphics, cutscenes, level design and gameplay. TLDR: If you've never played CE before then this is the ideal experience but if you have, it's just a very nice fresh coat of paint Full thoughts below:

Halo Campaign Evolved is a beautiful and very detailed game. It's just unfortunate that we can only see the fine micro-detail if we remove chromatic aborration and other effects. It's not possible to turn of these effects in-game. That means we can only remove them on PC via changes to Unreal Engine 5s engine.ini file. Console gamers have to hope for a patch to enable this. See how in my next post, that also helps setting up HDR. I also use AMDs CAS sharpening filter to further increase detail. You can install it directly via Reshade. It intelligently increases detail. Its very effectful and its something gamers on larger displays might want to consider trying (I game on 77" OLED). Pictures are with DLSS 4.0 Quality mode and max settings. Pictures on X gets compressed, so it looks even more detailed in person.
