Richard Nephew, who served as Biden’s Deputy Special Envoy for Iran, is a steadfast supporter of Trump's "maximum pressure" against Iran. Why? Because, he admits, lifting US sanctions would help Iran "overcome" its problems. Nephew opposes a grand bargain with Iran even if it could address all of the United States’ stated grievances. “Any deal that affords Iran widespread sanctions relief—even if it features hard limits on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, missile programs, and support for proxies,” Nephew writes, could give the Iranian government “a new lease on life.” Therefore, diplomacy must be opposed, with the ultimate aim “to get actual regime change.” Nephew is especially opposed to a peace deal because, he admits, US sanctions are the main source of Iran’s problems, and therefore the main engine of his desired regime change. If the US offers “comprehensive sanctions relief for Iran,” he writes, that “would help flood the country with enough money to overcome its legacy of mismanagement, corruption, and failed governance.” If the US lets Iran access enough money to resolve its problems, that in turn “might relieve popular pressure on the regime.” Better then continue putting pressure -- aka impoverishment -- on Iran's population.

3 days in, no well exploded. We could extend to 30 and livestream the well here. That was the kind of junk advice the US admin gets from people like Bessent who also push the blockade theory and cranked oil up to $120+. Next stop:140. The issue isn't the theory, it's the mindset.

I am sincerely, honestly blown away by what I've discovered in and about Iran in this war. The level of thinking and personal development among the leadership class in Iran is something that exceeds my wildest expectations. It is truly an x-factor of a nation, and an idea

"In every crisis, God has fashioned a victory for Iran" Newly released video shows that, back in 2019, Iran’s anti-terror commander Martyr Soleimani warned attempts to curb Iran’s oil sales would have global consequences. As we see today, his warning proved accurate.

He was a strategist like no other. He predicted the future of so many conflicts and that’s why he was able to be as effective as he was for the axis of resistance.

"Watch and listen, and allow yourself to encounter a new solidarity politics. One in which you are not asked to pity and save an "other," for Mohadesse is not begging for recognition and justice from the imperialist. Drawing on the very sovereign power that the imperialists sought to extinguish, Mohadesse instead commands recognition and demands justice. She renews a deeper sovereignty, whose power draw from a timeless faith in the return of the Mahdi and the justice it promises to bring."

*** Episode 2 of "Still, Minab" is now available Witness the most precious of lives, of Mahdie and Amin, blessing the world with a creative, joyful, and nourishing presence. Absorb them in their fullness, of all that they were and could have become. Sit then with how their futures were stolen, what was lost forever to their families, to their communities, their nation, to the world. For what? So that the US-Zionist death machine could try to restore its fading power to occupy, pillage, and rape? So that it could force Iranians to turn against their republic? Force them to give up their sovereignty? So that this death machine could make up for its losses on the military battlefield by slaughtering children, as it does in Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen? For the profits of weapons comapnies? For control over oil flows? For what were these lives taken? For what, that it has us numbed to this horror, that we spectate and then turn away? Do not turn away. Bear witness and let it fill you with the rage and urgency it demands. And be humbled by a people who refuse the ending of their worlds, even in the face of such horror. Who refuse the world-destroying logic of imperialism, embracing now their children as martyrs. An eternal remembrance renewing the only forms of life worth fighting for - those centered on love and sacrifice, not on profit and oppression. Mohadesse, mother of Mahdie and Amin, proclaims that she finds peace in seeing how their martyrdom awakens the world to the truth and to demand justice for the fallen. But watch this episode through until the end, and you will see that Mohadesse is not simply observing an "awakening," it is her voice that projects their martyrdom as thunder forcing a slumbering world to awaken. Watch and listen, and allow yourself to encounter a new solidarity politics. One in which you are not asked to pity and save an "other," for Mohadesse is not begging for recognition and justice from the imperialist. Drawing on the very sovereign power that the imperialists sought to extinguish, Mohadesse instead commands recognition and demands justice. She renews a deeper sovereignty, whose power draw from a timeless faith in the return of the Mahdi and the justice it promises to bring.

The Persians freaking collected a toll from the Romans, lol. You go to war with these people and they are like 'let's see, what did we do 2,000 years ago in a similar situation?'
Reza Ramezannejad@rrghadi01

The world is talking about the #StraitOfHormuz. But who is Hormuz? He was a Sassanid King who, 1,800 years ago, brought both shores of the Gulf under the Persian Empire and imposed tolls on Roman ships passing through. Our roots here run deep. #IranWar

"Still, Minab" – Episode 2: Sweet Dreams, Mommy This calls upon us all to bear witness to the Ahmadzadeh family--who lost two children, Mahdie, 11, and Amin, 7, killed in the US atrocity on Minab's school on February 28th. In seeking to know who Mahdie and Amin were--their beautiful, irreplaceable lives--I had the privilege of encountering their mother, Mohadesse. She shook me to my core in her belief, her strength, and her power as an Iranian woman. This account centers Mohadesse's knowledge, her testimony, and her resistance, as primary. So this is to honor Mahdie and Amin. And through them, it is to honor their mother, who refuses to surrender. Watch Episode 2 here: youtube.com/watch?v=iF1663… #StillMinab #MinabSchool
