@lakeshow73 It’s quite funny because somehow he always gets poked in the eye or face! All the weakness must be drained out by now! 😂

That “pain is weakness leaving the body” line has run its course for Naz Reid. He used that after Games 3 and 4. Haha. #WolvesBack

@GBanksSmith @JonnyRoot_ There is no rule. And He had no history

@MoundsViewMayor Kudos to you. If others want to fly old flags, they should add these, too. Seems kind of silly when put that way…
I guess there are a lot of old people, can’t teach them new tricks.

My position on the flag conversation is that I think we should always be flying the current adopted flag. The reason I feel that way is that it respects democracy. I feel going back to the old flag would be very disrespectful and it would be undermining the democratic process that yielded the current flag. The new flag wasn’t my favorite of the options however it has since grown on me especially post metro surge.
I saw the flag become the symbol of perseverance and unity and it really stuck with me and made me proud of our new flag. The pain and suffering we endured from metro surge was felt all across the state and right here at home in Mounds View. The flag was a central symbol of light in the darkness that was metro surge.
We will likely do a proclamation and a flag dedication in the near future to cement our commitment to flying this flag and I would also like to see us adopt an ordinance stating we will fly whatever the current adopted flag is further reinforcing our commitment to democracy and the state and the place we call home.
In regard to the old 1983 flag there had been attempts to change it for years. I don’t have any real attachment to it other than it’s all I have known. After 43 years It was time for a change. The old flag also had some racial undertones to it that does not reflect my values or our values as a city. I will admit I never saw the flag that way but have since learned about its history and nowhere in my conscience do I want us to be one of the cities who go back to that.
Mounds View is a city where EVERYONE is WELCOME. We have done tremendous work to address our own racist past, and we will continue to work on it. We will continue to be a beacon of what is possible when good government works to serve its people and I think we are doing just that and the old flag does not fit in that equation.

@AGEllison @keithellison Customers are getting money back, yet many are mad. Can’t make it up! Good job AG Ellison, thanks for the consumer protection!

@MagicJohnson @lakeshow73 Fans showed up big for our 2 home games, too! Thanks for the shout outs - Go Wolves!!

Last night we watched the best performance in the NBA Playoffs so far with Minnesota Timberwolves guard Ayo Dosunmu scoring 43 points and he was 5-5 from the 3 in their victory over the Denver Nuggets 112-96. My heart goes out to superstar Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo of the Timberwolves who were both injured early in the game, but I was very impressed with the entire Minnesota team for coming together and figuring out how to secure the win without their two premier starters.

@ken_kmak8542 My Democratic MN Senator and his wife were both shot last year (survived), along with neighboring Rep Melissa Hortman DFL and husband (both killed). The killer had ties to Christian nationalism, but full details not out, It hasn’t gone to trial yet. All shootings are wrong.

NEW: The University of St. Thomas, a private Catholic school in Minnesota, appears to have Islamic washing stations on campus.
Yesterday, Alpha News received a tip that a restroom in St. Thomas' Anderson Student Center has a watering pot that is for "ritual washing for Muslim prayers."
A photo of the watering pot and an accompanying sign was submitted to Alpha News. That photo is below.
In response to the photo and a media inquiry, St. Thomas sent Alpha News the following statement:
"St. Thomas views welcoming and providing an inclusive environment for students of all faiths (be they Christian, Jewish, Muslim or others) as an expression of its Catholic identity. These efforts include everything from our Bible studies and three daily Catholic Masses to ablution stations."

@JGeorge49 @RepPeteStauber We will pass the MN legislation to require proof of safety first. We won’t let an accident poison the BWCA then the other 3 associated water sheds - Lake Superior, Rainy Lake, the Mississippi River. Yes, the river that flows north to south through the state.

Every single community on the range that is near where a copper/nickel mine will actually be supports the opportunity to mine and the union jobs that will come - 90 percent of the opposition you site live in the Twin Cities, hundreds of miles away - the people of the Iron Range don’t need help protecting the environment they actually live in, they will ensure these mines are safe, and done right - like they have for 100 years
Tina Smith@SenTinaSmith
70% of Minnesotans do NOT want copper nickel mining near the Boundary Waters. The Senate has a chance to do right by them by leaving the mining moratorium in place.

@RpsAgainstTrump @mbrodkorb It will be a crushing win for Democrats. MAGA doesn’t win here.
English

@Amazing046 @Riley_Gaines_ People over party, country over party. Yes, many Republicans will vote Democrat next time to save America. They get it.
English

@Riley_Gaines_ I'm a strong Trump supporter, but lately he has been blabbing nonsense, he needs medical attention
But I will never stop supporting him, because what other options do we have, Democrats?????? Over my dead body, my brain is still functioning
English

I love the President and I'm so grateful he's in the Oval Office. Of course, I'll continue to support him and the America First agenda.
At the end of the day, I do nothing for the approval of man. Our purpose on this earth is to glorify Him in all we do. The truth social post missed the mark. It's now deleted. Amazing!
We're imperfect people. I know I am. I don't get my feelings hurt easy and I know with the President it's really not personal. I want to spend eternity in a real place called Heaven. I'd love for Trump to be there too.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I'll keep doing my part by speaking truth & doing my best to lead others to Christ.
(and no, I won't be selling merch with his insults on them hahaha)
English

@Riley_Gaines_ You are embarrassing yourself. Sheesh, live for you and your new kid, not a trash President.
English

@RpsAgainstTrump @lakeshow73 Bhahaha, they are always thrown under the bus at some point. Bye bye Riley

@SirWinston85 @EdKrassen @grok I’m in MN, heard this local interview with a former MN US Attorney. It’s an uphill battle, but a case worth trying in his opinion. A prior ruling has found a warrant is needed to enter the home, which ICE didn’t have. x.com/chadhartmansho…
Chad Hartman@ChadHartmanShow
Excellent stuff on the show today from attorney Chris Madel reacting to Ramsey County officials announcing an investigation into ICE agents. He explained the process and why it's an 'uphill battle' when going after a federal officer. audacy.com/podcast/chad-h…
English

@EdKrassen Hey @grok,
Isnt it highly unlikely that ICE agents would face any punishment from arrest by Minnesota officials due to "Supremacy Clause immunity?"
English

@ChadHartmanShow He’s a great guest, thanks for the content. I was listening for he answer who messed up with the fraud witness that fled the country. I thought Chris mentioned a federal judge usually makes sure the passport is held, but from news reports it seems only a state judge was involved?

@ChadHartmanShow So I’m still questioning how that happened and if Judges ever get warnings or reprimands? I guess that defendant had always showed up prior and he wasn’t a danger to others, so perhaps the norm is to lean heavily on that. But it just costs us all more now, to track him down.
