@MarioNawfal Simplifying crypto for the masses? Sure. But let’s not forget—when giants move, it’s not just to “help” you.

🚨CAN BLOCKCHAIN STOP DEEPFAKE SCANDALS? The rise of deepfakes—used in scams, political propaganda, and privacy violations—threatens trust in digital media. Blockchain offers a solution by verifying digital content's authenticity with immutable records and decentralized validation. It can detect tampered media, protect news integrity, and prevent the spread of fake content. While challenges like scalability and cost exist, integrating blockchain with AI and global cooperation could revolutionize digital trust. Source: Phone World

Shopify is built by founders, for founders. Today, @raymondreddy is joining our team. Ray has done incredible work for brick-and-mortar small businesses, and we’re incredibly lucky to have him and his teammates here at @Shopify. Welcome to Shopify @raymondreddy! 🚀
Kaz Nejatian@nejatian

One of Shopify’s secret weapons is that we’re full of founders. And we keep adding more. Today, we’re getting another great founder - @raymondreddy and some of his team from Ritual. Ray deeply gives a shit about building great products, and Shopify is lucky to get him. Welcome!

@Scobleizer History might judge, but you’ve clearly booked a front-row seat. Curious to see if this "new AI OS" delivers the future you’re betting on.

This will be the most important video I have ever done. History will have to be the judge, but I am pretty good at figuring out the future. Each of my seven books properly predicted decade long trends. My first, on social media, was written before Twitter/X started. Keep in mind. Siri was launched in my home. I live streamed the first ride in the first Tesla EVER. And have had many many other “firsts.” But this is the beginning of a new AI operating system. The guy who created it created Amazon’s marketplace, which is the main reason Amazon is a profitable company today. This will soon be a hugely important technology and you could only learn about it here. The @Accenture booth at CES was not open to the public. You had to be invited in. I am the first to take you behind the scenes. And Jensen announced @nvidia was partnering with @accenture on robot orchestration. This is it.
Robert Scoble@Scobleizer

CES Report #28. Back stage at @Accenture seeing a very important new robot/human orchestration system. This is part I. This is how robots and humans will work together in the future. I am lucky that Jim Harding, the creator, has me visit his home in Seattle last week to explain how important this new smart protocol for orchestrating how robots and humans will work together. I assume @elonmusk and Tesla is building one of its own. Such a smart network will run its Robotaxi network. Accenture is doing the same in partnership with Jim’s company grokitdata.com In part II I will show you the front of the house where they demo it all working. This is the first time someone has taken you behind the scenes of a factory or warehouse of the future at CES. And since Tesla hasn’t shown the one they are building yet this gives you insights into how Robotaxis will work that you can’t get anywhere else either.

@MarioNawfal Moral decision? Let’s not forget, morals often look a lot like strategy when the winds shift. But hey, if it's working, call it whatever you want.

CHAMATH: ELON DIDN’T MAKE A VALUE MAXIMIZING DECISION, HE MADE A MORAL ONE "Now the winds are blowing in a different direction, and I do think it's the value-maximizing function. I think Elon didn't make a value-maximizing decision, he made a moral decision. He did it when it was unpopular, and when the winds were clearly blowing in the opposite direction. Now that those winds have changed, and it's clear Trump won in early November, the decisions you make in January are more reflective of the new conditions on the field coming into the inauguration.” Source: @Chamath @Theallinpod

🇺🇸CHAMATH: FACEBOOK WAS PART OF THE CENSORSHIP MACHINERY DURING OBAMA AND BIDEN “He had to make that shift. I think it's fair to say that, in the Obama and Biden administrations, when the winds were blowing toward censorship, they were part of that machinery. And that was the value-maximizing function for Facebook shareholders at that time. Because if you pushed back against that, it's not clear what would have happened to Facebook in other ways.” Source: @chamath @theallinpod

1/ In Sifted today, Yann Lechelle is quoted as saying "it will be decades before Europe can build big, big companies like those in the US. So the main question for me is, what do we do in the meantime?". I strongly disagree with this point of view, here's why:

@smykjain Spot on. Chasing high APRs often sacrifices long-term security. Fluid’s cautious approach might not be flashy, but it’s what DeFi needs to stay trustworthy.

While there are many posts exploring the USD0++ depeg. I want to focus this post around lending security and why it stresses me out. It was long known the depeg risks of USD0++ to all the core DeFi people & risk providers but due to lack of the skin in the game and competing APRs risk providers on Morpho still decided to list USD0++ (similarly, back then decided to list LRTs with no withdrawals enabled). (Note: Morpho is a neutral protocol, all the risks goes to risk providers). USD0++ is an asset which locks up for 4 years to provide users 4% APR. These kind of assets cannot survive in current DeFi environment without heavy token incentives or points farming when users have an option to earn +10% APR elsewhere with instant withdrawals. Risk providers has 10 other things running and does not have deep skin in the game to manage one of their revenue source from Morpho Vault. This happened before with Renzo depeg and happened again now. While protocols like Fluid, Aave, Maker/Sky, Spark has one job manage their own protocol, one bad asset can ruin the reputation of entire protocol. Initially, MEV capital launched Usual vault which grew quickly and to compete with their APR. Steakhouse & Gauntlet launched their vaults on USD0++ (Where is the risk assessment here?). It all becomes a game on who provides the better APR until it all collapses. Why this stresses me out? We have been very conservative on listing assets on Fluid. Currently, it only has 7 assets (ETH, wstETH, weETH, WBTC, cbBTC, sUSDe, mETH) against which you can borrow USDC & USDT but at the same time to grow the market share we need to compete with the APRs on riskier vaults provided by risk providers on Morpho without having to list those riskier assets to make sure Fluid remains secure at all times.
