Variational still looks heavily mispriced to me
@Lighter_xyz had 12M total points, and its point priced at $40–60 on TGE.
@variational_io has only 9M total points.
So why are people acting like even $20 per point is “too bullish”?
Math is simple:
9M points × $20 = $180M airdrop
That implies roughly $600M FDV
Is $600M really too much for a perp with:
• $11.8M raised from Coinbase Ventures + Dragonfly
• 50% of tokens allocated to users
• 30% revenue used for VAR buyback & burn
• a new partial loss refund mechanic
And at $1B FDV, the point is already worth around $40.
Even if points only end up at $10, it is still profitable farming.
That is exactly why I prefer farming perps:
• easier to model the math
• more scalable
• historically only a few trash projects underdelivered
Best part?
Over 3M points are already farmed.
And I’m pretty sure a huge chunk was farmed early by the team itself.
