As unpopular as Republicans are, you don’t see their politicians trying to go on left wing podcasts. The media is not demanding that they do more to reach across the aisle.

@middleageriot And get the name of the person who was President when the original picture was taken right. It was taken in 2004 when Bush was President, not Obama.

Think of what it says about Mississippi that 38% of the state's population is black, but somehow you can make every congressional district +22 Republican.

Ellison and the information oligarchs should enjoy it while they can because when Democrats win power we are going to break these anti-consumer, anti-free speech media conglomerates into pieces.

There’s no other way to put this: With the help of right-wing media, Karoline Leavitt is lying about the indictment and running interference for white supremacist groups to try to retroactively exonerate Trump of his “very fine people” scandal. Here’s the entirety of the indictment’s claims about the SPLC and Charlottesville: One informant, making roughly $33,750 a year for eight years, wrote racist posts to maintain his cover and helped organize transportation for the rally. That’s it. There’s no allegation that this informant played any other role in drawing hundreds of white supremacists to Charlottesville to shout hateful slogans, intimidate, assault and murder people. In return, the informant spent nearly a decade sharing info about his racist peers with the SPLC, which was known to work together with the FBI to monitor and prosecute these extremists until Kash Patel chose to end that work in October.

Leavitt: "The Southern Poverty Law Center was a very reputable organization at one point in time, and they have unfortunately transformed into a criminal organization run by fraudsters who are paying for and inciting the very racism they claim to stand against. You mentioned the Charlottesville hoax ... "

I led the nonprofit that successfully sued the neo-Nazis responsible for the Charlottesville violence. A jury found them liable for a conspiracy to commit violence, a verdict that courts have upheld. It was not a hoax. This is abhorrent, even if it’s not surprising.

This week, the Trump administration: …prosecuted people for daring to infiltrate & expose the KKK. …promoted a Pentagon official who discussed wearing a KKK hood. …and dropped charges against white supremacists who attacked the Capitol. Interesting pattern.

This should be on the front page of every newspaper in America. A Syrian billionaire needed U.S. sanctions lifted so he could cash in on $12 billion in reconstruction contracts. In an attempt to influence American foreign policy, he proposed a Trump-branded golf course, cut Jared Kushner & Ivanka Trump into a multibillion-dollar real estate deal for a resort in Albania, and had someone physically deliver a stone engraved with the Trump family crest to a Republican Member of Congress with instructions to take it to the White House to get the President's attention. Trump threw his weight behind repealing the sanctions. They were lifted. The contracts are moving, the Trump family’s deals are expanding, and not a single Washington Republican is willing to say a word about any of it. This is a corruption of everything the office of the presidency is supposed to stand for, and the American people deserve to know about it. nytimes.com/2026/04/19/us/…

What if I told you Black voters in Arkansas already have enough registered voters to erase the entire margin of defeat? Not hypothetically. Not someday. Right now. 90,000 estimated Black registered voters in just two counties. A 54,000 vote gap to close. The math isn’t the problem. The turnout is. Arkansas hasn’t had a Democratic member of Congress in years — but Chris Jones is on the ballot in 2026 and he’s already proven he can win across racial lines. Arkansas has never sent a Black person to Congress. That can change if Black voters run up the score. The question is, how bad do you want change? Click the link in @jonesforar bio and give him some support. Share if you care 🦾

I beg of Dems, please stop trying to make ossoff a thing for 28. We need that senate seat for as long as possible. And LBH, We must pick someone with a natural affability and a sense of humor that’s effective. No stiffs in interviews.

Ossoff: "I have zero interest in running for president in 2028. I love serving the state of Georgia. Let's keep our eyes on the ball, folks. We need to win decisively in Georgia and every battleground state and every competitive US House district this fall."

Trump starts a redistricting battle, thinking Democrats won't retaliate, but they do, and gain more seats. Now Republicans cry foul at their self-imposed problem. Trump starts a trade war, expecting the world will take it. Instead, the US loses jobs, farms go bankrupt, manufacturing declines, and our trading partners make deals with China rather than with the US. Worst of all, Trump's tariffs are illegal, so the government ends up with nothing for all the trouble. Trump berates NATO and threatens to invade a NATO nation. Then, when Trump starts a war in Iran without talking to our allies first, he's shocked when they don't show up to help. Trump bombs Iran, expecting them to cave to his demands a few days later. Instead, Iran attacks US military bases and damages other nations' energy production. It closes the Strait of Hormuz, disrupting global energy markets, sending gas prices over $4 a gallon, and spiking US inflation to the highest in years. The war is in its eighth week. Trump is outmatched and continues to fail. His first term was a shock to America and the world, but this time, everyone was ready for him. Trump's bullying no longer works, and that's all he knows.
