We understand this situation is frustrating, and we’re sorry you had to check your bag at the gate. Our gate team is responsible for monitoring the amount of baggage brought onboard. Each customer is allowed one carry‑on item and a personal item that should fit under the seat. Once the overhead bins begin to reach capacity, the team must ask remaining customers to check their larger items to ensure a safe and timely boarding process.
