The Eastern Africa team recently had a highly productive meeting with the Uganda Timber Growers Association (UTGA) in Kampala. We discussed strategies and opportunities for enhancing sustainable timber practices in the region. UTGA received Eastern Africa's first FSC Ecosystem Services (ES) Claim last year for restoring and protecting 1,000 hectares of forest in the West Bugwe Central Forest Reserve in Eastern Uganda.
