@BaseballValues As a Jays fan I am curious as to why Groshans continues to rank on prospect lists. Guy can hit for average, walk and likely play 3B/2B but doesn't have power at all. The writing has been on the wall for a long time that he wasn't going to make it here.

Baseball Trade Values@BaseballValues·
The #BlueJays have reportedly acquired RHPs Anthony Bass ($1.4M median trade value) and Zach Pop ($0.1M) and a PTBNL (unknown) from the #Marlins in exchange for IF Jordan Groshans ($12.9M). The deal is rejected by our model as an overpay by Toronto.

Blue Jays closing in on deal with Marlins for Zach Pop, per multiple sources. Other pieces expected to be involved. Jordan Groshans believed to be headed to Miami.

@AngelsTalk27 I don’t see how any trade can be a “blockbuster” unless it involves Ohtani or Trout. Jays should be willing to part with multiple top prospects if it addresses two of their roster weaknesses at once.

#BlueJays and #Angels are trying to pull off a “blockbuster” trade while other teams are involved. Angels have heavy interest in several of the Jays top 10 prospects. Although, it’s unclear if the Jays are willing to part ways with them.

@IanBridger66 @bnicholsonsmith Why is that a problem? The time to win is now and I doubt any of those prospects become as good as Ohtani on either side of the ball. Even if they do, it won’t be this season or next. Trading prospects for win-now players and vice versa is part of the competitive cycle.

#BlueJays players doing their part to show this group is worthy of reinforcement, going 12-3 over last 15 games ahead of trade deadline. Behind the scenes, front office is busy. So now: where does that prep lead? On paper, Jays need swing & miss for 'pen, could use SP as well.

@IshatReza I always hear from the conservative candidate very early and the NDP very late.

@michaelmina_lab @IshatReza So don’t walk around and chat with neighbours without a mask when you should be isolating? You’d think that would be obvious but apparently not from what I’ve seen across the street.

If you have a positive rapid test - assume positive If you are recently symptomatic (few days) and have a neg rapid test, assume pos and test again next day. But if you remain positive and are thinking of leaving isolation - please don’t. Please assume you’re still infectious

Anyone positive on a rapid antigen test should be considered a high risk of spreading the virus to others A positive rapid test is a much better predictor of being infectious than symptoms. Remember - one of the first things we learned was that people spread even w no symptoms

@taimhuynh Cohorting doesn’t make sense when few, if any, of those other students would be considered close-contacts by government definition.

"The principal of Lawrence Park CI notified parents about 10 new reported cases, saying because each of those students has multiple classes, 40 classes were affected." We owe cohorting an apology. It's been under-appreciated. thestar.com/news/gta/2022/…

@FourWinns298 When the government says too early to consider they seem to literally not bother to consider the issue. Why plan ahead?

@DGBassani @CityCynthia Yes indeed. She seems to have upgraded her masks in early March. Many posts on her own social media wearing N95s. (I’m wondering whether, in some of the cases where she is wearing a medical mask, it’s the hospital policy?)
