I’m all in on Jesus and the Father being one.. my quarrel has been with Jesus turning the other cheek and forgiving 70 x 7 in a day while yhwh is in a sh*tty mood most of the time and killing kids and moms.. and trying to square the 2 for the last 30 yrs.

John 10:30 isn't even anything that needs context from my theological perspective. The interpretation of the passage is they are two in unity with each other. That's what the greek grammar explicitly says, and it is read that way by the majority of Christendom and always has been. Jesus uses the identical expression to say that WE are one with HIM. But no one is arguing we are Jesus. What you have heard is a minority position from Yhwh is Jesus folk and some Trinitarians. Standard scholarship debunks this one.
