@MrJulianR1 So similar to Mon’s driver, I think it’s a bit ambiguous whether or not the character had had a change of heart before dying or not. That’s the brilliance of the writing of Andor. For so many people in conflict, an involvement with the good guys or the bad guys is more complex.

@MrJulianR1 I almost think the “who are you” in that moment made Syril feel a bit more disillusioned by his former ambition to serve the empire. He was lowering the gun and you could see the anger give way to exhaustion/disappointment.

@MrJulianR1 In the episode, he is disturbed by Dedra and then later, is overwhelmed by the slaughter outside. I think he was beginning to see the pointlessness and evil of what had been happening. He was briefly impassioned again seeing Andor, but then Andor’s comment brought him back down.

Soarin’ Across America is.. fine. Maybe it’s more tranquil than I was expecting? I liked it more the second time. The image is the most crisp of the 3 versions, and while one CG element at the beginning takes me out, at least it has *real* animals. Top row best for rocket intro!

@fas51585226 @NolanAnalyst He made these casting decisions to execute his vision of the story. Not the story the way everyone else sees it, but the story the way he sees it. Wait till the movie comes out to render so much judgment. People hated Keaton as Batman before seeing it.

@fas51585226 @NolanAnalyst The “he’s just doing it to win an Oscar“ argument is weaker because he already has won an Oscar. If he didn’t win for Oppenheimer, he would make these casting decisions. Likewise, if he had won an Oscar for every previous movie he did, he would make these decisions.

@CobaltGreen1138 There are some miniatures technically being implemented in the sequel trilogy, but it’s mostly that they’ve been scanned into the computer so it’s the digital render of them that you see in the movie whereas the prequel shot a lot of miniatures and that’s what you see.

@CobaltGreen1138 They used more miniatures in Phantom alone than they did on all three sequels combined and Solo and Rogue One combined. I feel like that needs to be talked about more.

The new Soarin update looks fantastic! The scenery looks great and I’m super glad they filmed on location over using CGI again. The soundtrack is still magnificent. I also enjoyed the little update for the preshow, it was a solid joke that made me laugh. Honestly, 10/10
