Why are HOF voters, across all sports, hell bent on being gatekeeping morons?

Trinidad Chambliss was a 0 star and Fernando Mendoza was a 2 star coming out of high school. Both had to beg their way into college football. Both had and have special makeup and incredible work ethic. The coaches that knew them the best growing up, were probably telling college coaches they were special but the college coaches were reliant on the rankings to formulate their opinions.

Why Coaching Is Harder Than People Think (A Holiday Reminder)… Because coaching isn’t just about plays, drills, or game nights. It’s about people. It’s about walking into practice every day and managing emotions you didn’t create but are responsible for. Your own. Your players. Your assistants. Parents. Administrators. Fans. It’s about teaching kids who are all at different stages. Different maturity levels. Different confidence levels. Different home situations. And somehow holding them to the same standards while still meeting them where they are. It’s about decisions that look simple from the stands but feel heavy from the sideline. Who plays. When. Why. How you communicate it. And how that decision might land on a 16-year-old who ties their identity to minutes. It’s about losing sleep over kids who won’t buy in. Over conversations you need to have. Over mistakes you replay in your head long after everyone else moved on. It’s about being judged by people who see the outcome, not the process. The scoreboard, not the hours. The result, not the relationships. And yet, you show up again. You plan. You teach. You model. You care. As the season slows and the holidays arrive, this is the reminder: What you do matters. Even when it goes unseen. Even when it feels heavy. Even when it’s hard. Coaching is about influence. And influence lasts longer than any season. That’s why coaching is harder than people think. And also why it matters so much. As the year winds down, I hope you find a little rest, a little perspective, and a lot of pride in the work you’re doing. 🎄Happy Holidays, Coach.

🚨#BREAKING: An 85-year-old widow called a North Carolina tree removal company, begging for firewood to keep her house warm, but said she couldn't pay them. Paul Brittain, the owner, delivered the firewood for free, fixed her car, her roof, her heating/AC unit ALL for FREE and then raised $20,000 for her for Christmas. This is the America I love!!!!

Schools spend hours trying to “reach” the kid who openly doesn’t care, while the kid who tries every day quietly gets ignored. We’re exhausting ourselves chasing resistance instead of investing in effort.

Sad news out of Huntsville as Jay Sirianni’s wife had a courageous fight with cancer. Jay is a great guy and hoping for peace and comfort during this time.

Things I wish I would have known as a player: How much time the coaching staff spends thinking about what's best for the team.

If you aren’t obsessed with baseball, you will probably not enjoy baseball in college. It’s so demanding, with no guarantees of anything!

Google and Disney need to get a deal done and end this blackout. People should have the right to watch the programming they paid for — including football. Get it done!
