My wife’s account at @SoFi was frozen and CLOSED with ZERO warning. They are now HOLDING her money and claiming she is “not the rightful owner” — with NO explanation, no transactions listed, nothing. These were legitimate funds, including documented casino winnings but more importantly the direct deposits from her job. We’ve asked repeatedly: What transaction triggered this? Who is the “originator”? Where is the money? No answers. @CFPB @AnthonyNoto — how is this acceptable? This is people’s livelihoods, not numbers on a screen.

She has tried contacting someone in every department including the app. Banking, security and fraud, general customer service and she gets an email with a person's name and direct number. She has called and left several voicemails with this person and hasn't heard back. She requested in writing where her money was being sent and what triggered the "internal comprehensive investigation" and they just say sorry they cannot share that information. Can't share the information with THE only rightful owner of the account. Go figure. Yet refunds that have been issued to that account get posted and then suddenly disappear.

All America had to do after 9/11 was close its borders. Instead, our government created a massive and unconstitutional surveillance state aimed at the American people. We are still dealing with the consequences of that corruption—terrorist attacks in the U.S., never-ending wars in the Middle East, and sky-rocketing debt to fund the military-industrial complex—nearly 25 years later. Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, Iran. It never ends. As soon as one pointless cash cow war demanding our money ends, another one magically begins. At some point it would be nice if we had leaders who cared more about freedom and security and prosperity in our own country than they do in some stupid sandbox 10,000 miles away.

Congratulations to California Teamsters for supporting the state wealth tax referendum. It is unacceptable that a handful of billionaires are doing phenomenally well while working people struggle. That is why I will be introducing legislation to create a national wealth tax.
