@SeanPlunket God I cant hate self righteous pricks like enough. Yea sure he was just walking in the park when a whiter than the driven snow Afghan man just minding his busines walking his disabled father, all loving , innocent family man had his hands tied and was killed for no reason.

@VitaminD_Record @Abdullahf156924 @y47wb8r74j I have presumed his innocence, and I would like the trial to run its course. You would not. We're arguing hypothetically over whether it's acceptable to commit war crimes or not. Fuck, make up your mind about what you're trying to say, dummy!

TRIGGER WARNING In 1943 Japanese officer Chikao beheaded Australian POW Leonard Siffleet. Australia demanded justice for this war crime. BRS is charged with killing a handcuffed Afghan POW. Would those who argue BRS should not be tried have said, 'I stand with Yasuno Chikao'?

@Glenn02936110 It's alleged that he wasn't in mortal combat when he committed the crimes though. Your point is invalid. Intellectual weakling.

The judgemental weaklings wouldnt understand this - it's wrong to judge the actions of men in mortal combat by the standards of ordinary civilian life,' Abbott tweeted.

@VitaminD_Record @Abdullahf156924 @y47wb8r74j Don't change the subject. We're talking about you being a cowardly moron. Plenty of SAS troopers don't execute unarmed civilians, especially outside of active combat. Not sure why you're trying to conflate everything? Probably because you're a cowardly moron.

@mrcoolguy8888 @Abdullahf156924 @y47wb8r74j Ok tough guy, tell us how you would single handedly take down 200 Kalashnikov wielding Taliban fighters with your bare hands. Making sure not to harm the gun toting "children or civilians", while carrying your mate to safety after he lost his leg on a mine. You're such a hero

@mrcoolguy8888 @Abdullahf156924 @y47wb8r74j Frankly i don't care. In a situation where everyone has guns, everyone is dressed the same, children are also soldiers, there is no possible way to detain them, and releasing them risks them killing you or those around you. I don't think "rules of war" apply in that situation

@VitaminD_Record @Abdullahf156924 @y47wb8r74j Executing civilians is not acceptable wartime behaviour. That's why there are rules of war. Don't try to lecture to people about what wars are and aren't. You're not the authority on it. It is amusing to witness your arrogance though.

@adonispara Power manifests in the imposition of cost upon ones enemies. The left imposes cost with lawfare. Without knowing all the details, I suspect they are just "taking a piece of the board" by prosecuting him.

@nunya_bustanut @MagneticNorse No, I don't. Do you? You're leaning towards him being a good guy. Why? You don't go back and leave "signs" if you're just trying to pick up your van. It's just as likely as not that he's intimidated or explicitly threatened his wife, and you've defaulted to "let's hang out". 🙄

So here’s the thing. We sent this bloke to do the things no one wants to do. Along the way he demonstrated his bravery and was awarded our highest honour. You don’t get a VC for helping old ladies across the street. We cannot judge a man for what he does in combat by civilian standards at home. He shouldn’t be in gaol. If he needs to be judged then that should be by a jury of men who have been on a two way rifle range and experienced first hand what it was like to be there. Looks to me like BRS is the modern day Breaker Morant. A scapegoat for the whining few who don’t deserve the sacrifices made by our ADF.

@stackygc @RonniSalt Obviously its terrible what happens during war. But prosecuting our own "war heros" over things that supposedly happened 20 years ago is stupidity! 0 net benefit to Australia. Just makes us look stupid, untrustworthy and vindictive.

@SustPopAus The proposition: "There is a cohort of working Australians that might miss out on having a family, or a comfortable standard of living with job security, or a retirement, but the descendants of the wealthy and whoever else survives will benefit from their sacrifice." Bad deal.

@nunya_bustanut @MagneticNorse You want to hang out with someone who knowingly breaches an AVO against them? He's trying to gas himself up as a fun, good guy, after he's been harassing his wife. He's overcompensating and bit unhinged, but you think he comes across as cool. Lame.

@RennickGBR There are serious allegations against him, so why wouldn't they be investigated and he be prosecuted? He joined the Army voluntarily and he was trained in the ethics and rules of war. Why should the law not apply? The hand-wavy answer about civilians not understanding war is BS.

Why aren’t the politicians who beat the drums of war to send our soldiers to foreign wars ever arrested whilst with their family in front of a waiting media? How is it fair that politicians who cheer the bombing of innocent civilians from the safety of their armchairs are never held to account for their unjust and barbaric actions, yet soldiers who risk their lives enveloped in the fog of war for years on end are? The double standards are just plain wrong.

@RennickGBR Trying to understand how we train SAS soldiers to become absolute killing machines.Send them to a war that we should have no part of. They do what they are highly trained to do and get absolutely crucified and hung out to dry for it. Maybe next time we send the government suits.

@VitaminD_Record @Peter_Fox59 People like you can't be trusted to care about anyone. You won't even let an investigation into the potential cold-blooded execution of disarmed and/or innocent people run it's course, because it doesn't validate the simplistic worldview you have. I don't support the Taliban.
