Caught an overhead view of Jake Bamrick spraying our tall corn. Despite the all the rain we still opted to hire a ground rig instead of an airplane. You can see the fungicide penetrate the canopy. #iowafarmer #corn #approachprima

Hey @DOGE, please investigate @USPS. Some people/businesses are not set up for electronic payment so the mail is still necessary. I’ve had 5 letters not make it to their recipient in the last month. Funny how junk mail always gets delivered on time though.

I love how fast “well we just as well plant something” turns into we got most of our corn in the ground before April 20th. #plant25 #Iowa #corn #soybeans

@josh_sayler It’s corruption exposing other corruption. At least some of it’s getting exposed. We’ll take all of the exposure we can get.

@CVDmarkets I hate first year corn following corn. I’ve found if a farmer is on the fence about doing corn or beans on a field and goes to their fertilizer/seed sales person the sales person will probably encourage corn. The fertilizer retailer makes more money off corn.

If there's one thing I've learned over the years about analyzing the #soybean/#corn ratio, it's that farmers just love to plant #corn anyways

Hard work is merely a means to an end. Whether it be wealth, survival, or wages. Let’s stop making it our whole personality.

@RandyPark15 @PhilWCC Adjusting hail insurance claims has a similar vibe to it. Taking the time to read and understand the product you are buying(and how it will be adjusted if you have a claim) prevents a lot of useless stress/anger later.

@PhilWCC Ya , work great for knowledgeable educated producer Amazing just like the ole HTA late 90s. I love them when in my favor, when turnout not favorable it’s the old “ I didn’t understand how they work “?????

Sounds like accumulator contract season is upon us again. Two thoughts for your consideration. 1. “Rangebound market” is a term that can only ever be applied to the past. 2. Many times everything turns out okay, sometimes lots of people go broke.

@the_birdfarmer A lot of coop employees are people who love agriculture and didn’t have the opportunity to farm. Good for them for getting a vacation. Probably isn’t smart to tag the coop in the post.

I think it’s hilarious when employees of farmer owned cooperatives post on social media of them (the employees) on Caribbean vacations and have the audacity to tag the coop in the post and say thank you for the trip. Cool you got a paid for vacation on someone dime. Congrats.

@Jones6807 Same. Appears like some of it volatilizes or leaches right away while some of it clings so tightly to soil organic matter it takes several years to become available. Crazy.

Chicken Litter question. Say a guy put out 3 ton of litter this spring with an N value of say 160# of that 160# 60% was available for this years crop. Is it same to give myself a credit for the other 40% for next years crop? Will still continue with litter just curious on N.

If I owned a grain elevator and I caught someone pulling onto the scale with one of these dump trailers pulled with a big Fendt, JD, Magnum tractor I'd tell them to leave and never come back unless they get a proper highway tractor on the front of it.
