@mrg_86 @RobShaw_BC lol so miss informed. Saskatchewan to name one has the exact same tax. Quick google would have saved you from posting a straight up lie.

NEW - BC is introducing legislation to enable government to sue manufacturers of vaping products. Similar to tobacco legislation that has successfully sued for cigarettes, for public cost of health harms.

Today, we put package dates on our website. We did this because we specialize in buying #farmfresh products. We are an independently owned, licensed #cannabis #retailer that can ship anywhere in British Columbia #BC via Canada Post. itsupinsmoke.com

Now if only the @bcndp could support small businesses the way they support their friends and themselves. They have all gotten raises with house money. Still waiting on any support from any level of government while my #smallbusiness struggles at the hands of their delays.

Victory, @bcgeu and @paulgfinch After @Dave_Eby spent 8 weeks saying BC couldn't afford another deal like the 12-14%/3yrs it signed in 2022 - and could only offer 4%/2yrs, his government ends up totally caving at 12%/4yrs. My latest @TheOrcaBC @BIVnews: theorca.ca/commentary/rob…

Huge victory for Paul Finch on behalf of his members. Major embarrassment for David Eby who claimed 4% was a fair offer that kept up with cost of living and government could not afford much more.

Nope, Lowan is correct. There are 2 inflation measures, BC CPI and Average wage - gov offer falls below both. Gov offer is 2% in '25 and 2% in '26. The 1% covers allowances, low wage redress, etc. Talks broke off because we were willing to move but gov wasnt.
Matt Hannah 🍁@mattjdh

Two basic inaccuracies here - Lowan says the GEU is asking for an increase to cover inflation, but the gov's offer already matches inflation. The GEU is asking for increases beyond it. And the offer isn't 4%, it's 5% (not including low-wage redress, which isn't mentioned)

@drowbb @bcgeu I don’t know and didn’t think to ask the question until the gentleman was in front of me. I did and got an answer that they were not allowed to participate in the program.

@drowbb @bcgeu You’re right. I had a manager in this week and they said they were not allowed to order Direct Delivery to their location.

@mrg_86 @bcgeu I'd wager they still had product in stock. But I'm curious if they can still transfer stock from a picketed store to a non picketed one. I'm guessing no.

Finance minister @BrendaBaileyBC begins her @UBCM speech on BC’s budget and provincial economy. It’s officially titled “Modest Growth & Big Challenges: The Road Ahead for BC’s Economy.” Unofficially, it is the “don’t ask the BC government for any more money” speech.
